Ok so that’s not a book title, but JK Rowling is back to tweeting about transgenderism and being upset about the backlash she has received for her views on transgenderism and its effects on sexuality in general.

This isn’t the first time she has stirred up consternation and it may not be the last. https://www.theguardian.com/society...ts-at-generational-rift-on-transgender-rights

On one hand, I have support an individuals choice to transition in order to identify as the gender they see themselves in.
On the other, I am reading accounts from lesbians who have been harassed for not wanting relationships with transgendered women (pre or post op) and to me that seems completely a acceptable preference. The individual is free to transition, but that does not mean society has to be sexually attracted to them.

I had never heard of the term transgender exclusionary radical feminist (TERF) before Rowling, but apparently it’s a slur toward women who share Rowling’s thoughts and people in the LGBTQ community can be extremely hostile toward perceived TERFs.

I have met several transgendered and transitioning individuals, and none of them were conventionally attractive as their new gender. Majority were downright weird, but I can’t fault them for that. Am I their friend? Yes. Do I think they deserve equal protection under the law? Yes. Do I think that heterosexual men should be attracted to them or that they are the same as a woman born without the Y chromosome? No to the former, and no to the latter if I am being honest with myself.

Where does CF stand on this latest drama? Should JK Rowling be cancelled? Is she right, wrong, or not the right person to be causing this debate?

She can hate Hakeem Olajuwon and the Houston Rockets and Tupac.

That won't change my opinion that her books are good reads.

This topic is not a simple topic so people can't just dumb down her views as she hates a certain group.

Dave Chappelle has talked about this topic many times
    this joke is actually complex
