yeah but you'd think he'd at least be smart enough to know not to embellish the truth on something related to katrina. did he think no one was gonna look into it?
There's no link but I assume you're quote came from here: http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/02/jindal_admits_katrina_story_was_false.php If you go to the actual source of the story, though: http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0209/Jindal_aide_Story_was_set_after_Katrina.html?showall You see that Jindal has not admitted the story was false and that his aides stand behind it. If you read the transcript in that link I would have to say that Jindal's aides are correct. His story was not factually accurate. It was a little misleading, but not false at all.
o my bad on the link. yeah i just read that a second before you posted. i think it was very misleading, which is just about as bad as outright lying in my book.
It is stupid behavior, I agree. His meteoric rise in the Republican Party may have just ended. Democrats can get away with this stuff, but the press will never let Jindal live this down.
i dont buy that. hilary got hit pretty hard with that "sniper" incident. i havent even really hard the press mention what he said on katrina, other than that it as dumb to bring up a republican failure.
I agree it was misleading, although I don't think it should be much of a controversy. I don't read TPM so I don't know if this is normal, but their inaccurate headline is more disgraceful to me. I guess maybe that's why it's called TPMMuckraker?
Biden falsified his resume and became Vice President. Sen. Byrd recruited for the KKK, and wore one of those funny hats. Sen. Kennedy killed a woman, didn't tell the cops for half a day, and was a serious contender for President a decade later. I see a definite double standard, but perhaps I am biased.
The overpowering fear from Libs and Dems of Gov. Jindal forced this slip of the tongue. The speech writer responsible has already been deported to Alaska along with his personality coach.
That link doesn't provide any additional information beyond the ones I posted, does it? What part of his story was inaccurate?
Don't worry . . .I can make gold out of this too!!! - GOP_Rumpelstiltskin Rocket River Spin Spin Spin!
George W. Bush started a war that was based on lies that killed over 4,000 American troops and over 100,000 Iraqi civilians....and he was the President. What's your point Stanley? Are you missing Stella that badly? Or are you stuck on the Streetcare Named Bizarre?? Stella!!
don't know what this refers to? Biden's law school issue, if so, it was law school this really is a local issue, if those people want to keep electing byrd, that's them, but seriously it was a long time ago, hard to say anything about this one, other than he is a kennedy
The number of troops killed is staggering, but I wonder how many injuries there have been since the Iraq War. I'm wondering how many amputees, or people with a good 20 or 30 years of their lives cut short. As sad as those deaths are, I can't help but feel even sorrier for those people who have sustained life changing injuries.
