So here's the deal, driving up to the 'dacks tomorrow, and will be spending thanksgiving in a charming 19th century farmhouse, so charming, it relies on a wood burning stove for heat, and there's no TV. There is however, a decent DSL connection and wifi. we'll be smoking the turkey on the grill, and i want to set a laptop up to stream the game. i have access to either a macbook, or a decent PC laptop, but no other external hardware, just a fast internet connection. i could get the audio easily enough, but any thoughts on how i might actually view the game live?
Ah, sorry- missed that part. Of course, if someone were nice enough to let you use theirs, that fits the bill.
good idea, but i'm not set up fro it. i guess i was hoping to find a stream, or find it on Joost or something.
Go here: MyP2P . There are no links as of now, but I'm assuming there's a decent chance links will be posted there in the next few days, or maybe not until gameday. Depending on the link, you will need certain software. Sopcast is the most probable software, but there's also TVants, TVkoo, etc. I suggest you get Sopcast (google it) and you'll probably be set. All the software is windows only (as far as I know), so you'll need to bring your Windows box or boot up into Windows on your Macbook if you've got it set up.
Good tip. Now that you reminded me, I think I caught a few Browns games where the links usually required TVU.
The ones that have worked for me are: Sopcast, TVU and tvants. I recommend them in that order. Sopcast and TVU are simple and you know immediately whether it will work. tvants can drive you crazy, but then it will start working.
Click a few links from this ChannelSurfing.Net website and shazaam... Cowgirls on streaming live video with ease. Good luck http://www.channelsurfing.net/
There's a Cowboys messageboard called CowboysZone.com. There is a poster there that will put the game up. Not sure but there might be a limit. Also before reading this thread I expected Lil Pun to post something anti-Cowboys.
Cause the thread had nothing do to with what you said. All the guy asked was for some way to watch the game. You could have been giving on the biggest giving day of the year.
