According to this, she's been offered the part of Chun Li, because apparently Keria Knightley and Jessica Alba passed up the part already. Because, you know there are no Asian actresses available. My prediction is they will make Chun Li a half Chinese-half white person. Which is stupid when you consider that probably 75% of the reason a lot of guys liked her was the fact that she was Chinese. BTW, Jessica Biel is hot, but she's no Chun Li. http://www.latinoreview.com/news.php?id=1956 EDIT: I'm really more annoyed about why the hell they're making a second SF movie after the first disaster. EDIT 2: Keria Kngihtley???? Did these casting idiots not ever see a Chun Li pic before?????? Rice and beans ABSOLUTELY did not miss her.
you're a hater. the 1st Street Fighter was a classic. Sure it wasn't some Oscar winner, but it provided great comedy. Kinda like the Rocky Horror Show. there are tons of little jokes in the movie. Bison's controls were 6 button controllers. Ryu's low budget fireball.
we were laughing at subtle things, like barrels being broken in one scene. any signature move being done. plus, Kylie as Cammy. That was totally worth it. my xboxlive tag is clutchcity93 if you wish to challenge shenglong.
i remember being excited about the first SF movie...needless to say i was disappointed. BUt i do know what you mean, there were a lot of subtle little things in the first one
Is this movie going to be done in the same style as SF1? Is it officially SF2? Or are they completely attempting it again? I mean focusing on Guile was ridiculous. Biel is an easy choice. Have you seen her ass/legs? She's probably the only female actress capable of performing the crazy hyper leg kicking move. And dont get me started on the upside down spinning kick. Do I sense a SF resurgence? The PS3 will be getting a remake of Street Fighter 2 soon with completely redrawn sprites (so they say). Sounds like fun.
Sad to say I'd probably go watch it. Street fighter is in my blood, plus Biel showing off that body. How could I ever say no.
dont hate on Street Fighter II. Those other girls don't have the athleticism and heart to be Chun Li.
i remember that my best friend and i were first in line to buy tickets for the original sf movie, in fact we were the only ones in line. we got to the movie theater at like 9am for the 1130 show to make sure we got the "limited edition" trading card (i still have somewhere at my parents' place!) and i remember coming out of the movie thinking it was really cool! ah but yeah sign me up for any jessica biel movie where she is in a bikini or is kicking ass!
I think Beil can pass herself for being at least partly Chinese. If she ties her hair back like Chinese women do in some Chinese movies she might just be able to ull it off.
http://channels.isp.netscape.com/ce...ff/story/0001/20070504/2352940393.htm&sc=1402 NEW YORK (AP) - Jessica Biel says she still struggles to get respect in Hollywood. ``Parts that I really want aren't going to me,'' the 25-year-old actress says in Elle magazine's June issue, on newsstands Tuesday. ``Like `The Other Boleyn Girl' with Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman. I don't want to say that there's nothing I love that I can have. But there's still the occasional script that the director doesn't want to see you for. They want that top tier of girls.'' Biel, who began her career on the family-friendly TV series ``7th Heaven,'' has starred in such movies as ``The Illusionist,'' ``Home of the Brave'' and ``Next.'' In July, she can be seen with Adam Sandler and Kevin James in ``I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.'' Lately, she has been a fixture in the tabloids and on red carpets, sitting front row at Paris fashion week and sending celeb gawkers into a tizzy over her alleged fling with Justin Timberlake. ``The scary thing about having this opportunity is that if it's `your moment,' that eventually disappears,'' says Biel. ``I think about reaching for `the moment' but never really achieving it. That way, I'm always striving.'' Asked if media attention makes dating hard, she says, ``It makes everything hard because you can't even go to pick up a prescription without somebody trying to snap a photo of what you have in your Longs Drugs bag. ``Thank goodness I'm a nice person.'' I have a big part for her to play.
