This was pretty good. Has Hulk Hogan weighed in? How about Ric Flair? I know that I always base my political decisions on the opinions of professional wrestlers.
I saw Ventura during the RNC on Larry King when Larry was giving face time to the other party. Ventura isn't really a fan of either McCain or Obama. He pretty much hates all politicians from the major parties.

I found this funny because Jesse was a Navy Seal, so he has the military experience and then some of John McCain, and he was a mayor of a town that is like 10 times bigger than Wasilla and governor of a state that has 8 times as many people as Alaska. So the question is if it's a joke for Jesse Ventura to even talk about Sarah Palin, why isn't it a joke that Sarah Palin could be a heartbeat away from being President? BTW, the video isn't his "opinion" about Sarah Palin, it was just a clip from Bill Maher's show where he does one of the "new rules" which is stop comparing her to other VPs, she's not Dick Cheney because she's never shot anyone in the face.
I disagree with Ventura a lot on politics, but I respect him a lot as a politician. He has a strong distaste for the idea of being a career politician and thinks that one of our problems is that politicians can sit in office for so long and melt into the system.
obvoiusly just because you have been a governor doesnt mean you're qualified to run a country see George W. Bush
As a point of clarification, he was never a Navy Seal. He was in the UDT (Underwater Demolition Team) group. That group was eventually merged into the SEALs but it was after Ventura left. Since Ventura was never in combat, I would disagree that he has the "military experience and then some" that McCain has. While it's true that he was governor of Minnesota, he did only receive 37% of the vote.
Ok, but he was still in the military and still a mayor and governor of a larger city and state than Sarah Palin, so why isn't he qualified to have an opinion on Sarah Palin or anybody in this election? Also, I'll point out again, this was just a joke on Bill Maher's show where the punchline is that she's no Dick Cheney because she hasn't shot a guy in the face. It's more a joke about Cheney than Palin. But I guess Republicans here are sooooo touchy about Sarah Palin they didn't even bother watching this clip. There's no gotcha journalism or anything here, he didn't ask her tough and unfair questions like what newspapers she reads or what color the sky is. Also, Jesse ran as a 3rd party candidate, so pointing out that a guy who didn't run as a republican or democrat won with 37% is actually an amazing stat and thank you for bringing that up.
I didn't say he wasn't qualified. Everyone in the world is entitled to have an opinion on whatever they choose. It is up to each of us to decide whether or not to value that opinion. Personally, I value very little of what Jesse Ventura has to say after watching him in action as governor of Minnesota. I also understand the clip was just a joke.
Any time a strong independent is in the race it's likely the vote will be heavily split three ways. That's more of a relfection on blind partisanship than on Ventura.
Are you sure about that? My own recollection, which may be wrong, was that he did see action in the later part of the Vietnam War. But in the process still beating fairly well known and well financed campaigns by Norm Coleman and Skip (Hubert Humphrey Jr) Humphrey. Also while his personality and rhetoric left a lot to be desired he was still a fairly effective governor whose appointments were widely praised across the political spectrum and also got a fair amount accomplised including getting LRT built, conceal and carry passed, along with putting together a few really good budgets. When he said he wouldn't run again was leading in the polls and likely would've won again.
