I know that there have been a TON of topics like this, but I'd like to see some ideas for new uniforms. Here's mine: Please post whatever you've got!
For the purpose of accuracy, while everyone is reading this post, I would like everyone to imagine me holding my head in my hands, squeezing tightly and spastically writhing about. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! AGHHH! HOOOOOJDJKJ!!! ARGJHHHH!H!!!!! HAHGHHH!!!! FWAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! START THE SEASON, STERN! START THE SEASON, STERN! START THE SEASON! START THE SEASON! START THE $#%$%$#%$% SEASON, STERN!!!!!! Seizure over. I apologize for the above outburst. This offseason has destroyed all semblance of any patience I might have once had. Rocketman dan, in the future, you might want to go back and search for the last uniform/jersey topic. Most everyone's ideas have been posted numerous times. Your design isn't bad, and I like the layout you provided over the photo editing that most others do for their ideas. It is just that there have been <b>SO</b> many uniform threads, and unlike Hakeem or Cato or anything else Rockets, really, there isn't much you can say about the uniforms that hasn't already been said. Once again, I am sorry for the outburst, but I feel better now that it is over.
I can tell you right now that the Rockets ARE NOT going back to red and gold so you can take that one right out of your head. They may eventually add more red to the uni's (just a guess), but I know they don't have any interest in bringing back the gold.
Thank God, Im glad they wont have Gold back. Those colors were ugly. Now this is one hell of a jersey. I seriously think we should find a way to let the rockets organization see this pic. Rocketeer made this, hes awesome at this stuff. Go ROCKETEER!

Hey Jeff, What does the orginization have against gold? The Red and Gold were awesome baby and they lived long enough to see two world championships. I say bring back the Red and Gold!
Problem with red and gold is that they arent exactly fashionable. Who outside of a die hard Rockets fan would buy those ugly ass jerseys?
No kidding. Please don't bring back the red and gold. Those were some pimpin' colors that I think my tv could do without. I like dark blue colors. That red scheme pictured above would have me blinded after the first quarter and adjusting my tv. The blue one rocks!

Francis3 I really like those two ideas with one exception...they look a little too similar to what the Pisstons are wearing. Just a thought but nice job
The best uniforms are the ones that never change -- Boston Celtics, LA Dodgers, LA Lakers, NY Yankees, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys (yuck)...I'd like to see tradition be the goal, rather than merchandise sales. Red and gold would be the only uniform change I could get excited about.
RIght on Freak. Who cares if Red and Gold isn't fashionable and if anyone other than Rocket fans buy them. It's tradition. I don't think anyone's rushing to buy those old boring Celtic jerseys. Not that it matters, but if we become contenders, people would buy them. I would. As a long time Rocket fan, Red and Gold IS the Rockets. Francis3: I support those unis that you pictured. One thing though, I would liket to see the Rocket Logo (minus the shark teeth), somewhere on the uniform.
Profitability: There isn't anything unprofitable about red. At the same time the Rockets were changing to blue, the Bulls were leading the league in jersey sales with red. There isn't anything unprofitable about yellow/gold (whatever you want to call it). I'm pretty sure LA is leading in jersey sales right now with a yellow-purple color scheme. I don't think the colors incline or disincline people from wearing a particular color (speaking generally; more specifically, some colors just don't look good on particular people -- my wife won't wear a Rockets jersey if they go back to red (not that she'd wear one anyway)). A shirt can be made well or poorly in any color. It is the marketability of the team that sells the jersey. If Houston picks up banwagoners the world over, the jerseys will sell well. If no one likes the team, no one will wear the jersey.
I agree that if a team is good the jersey only matters so much. For instance everyone knows that we don't have the best unis in the league, but I was watching WWF the other day when they were in Michigan and a guy in the audience was wearing a Francis jersey. I guess because Steve's so bad ace it didn't matter what the jersey looked like or it might have just been a transplanted Houstonian . BTW That blue uni is cool, don't care much for the red one though.
