This is crazy, I just heard about it. Couldn't imagine how shocking it would be watching this live. He wrestled and then came back to the announcing table, then he just collapsed and had a heart attack. All this was ON AIR and LIVE. Cole (his co-anchor) was pretty much crying giving the viewers the news of what happened. Heard a few other WWE superstars were crying too.

I don't watch wresting anymore, but always liked the King.

That guy still wrestles? Isn't he like 65 already? Hope he's ok.

Was it real? Not trying to be funny. Serious question.

just watched it --- it Michael Cole was saying when he came back from the break that everything he was saying was real and not part of the night's entertainment.

you could see it in the background during parts of the kane/daniel bryan tag team match he was just slouched in his chair as medics were attending to him.

the crowd at one point paid no attention to the match and watched only lawler and Cole kept announcing but it was very sporadic and short - he seemed really shaken up by the whole thing.

One thing though I saw the match he fought and I was thinking to myself when watching it -- he is in pretty great shape and athletic for his age to pull all the moves that he did -- i dont know if it was the over the top (for him) match he perform that lead to it or if it was just a bunch of other stuff

Hope he recovers and its not serious Lawler has been one of my favorites and the WWF certainly wont be the same without him

I don't watch WWE much, if at all, but those announcers are pretty recognizable.

Starts about 6 minutes into the clip above..
Notice Jerry's commentating getting more and more faint and at 7 minutes you can hear what sounds like Jerry struggling to breathe and shortly after that you can actually see Lawler in mid-attack :(

Props to Michael Cole for maintaining composure during the live broadcast

i tuned in during the rey mysterio match and didn't hear any commentary. the crowd was "dead". i thought something was wrong with their headsets. then hitman came out, introduced john cena who was then interrupted by cm punk. the whole time no commentary. it was eerie. finally cole came on the air to give an update.
