I didn't see this posted anywhere. He's a legend and arguably the greatest wide receiver ever so he deserves a thread. Looks like he was traded for a 7th round pick. Here's the link: Rice Traded
I respect Jerry Rice for what he has done in his career. He is arguably one of the best players to ever play the game. However, I honestly think his career ended about 2 seasons ago. Hopefully he will keep playing for about 10 more years, though. There is a guy in my fantasy league that takes him around the 3d round every year and plays him no matter what (even in the bye week).
Damn, I called this last week! Maybe he can fix Koren Robinson's "problem" by whipping his butt into shape.
I can't blame him for keeping on playing.. people all the time hang around in their careers once they are not needed anymore.. As long as I could make a roster.. I'd keep on playing..
I just hope that the end of his career doesn't affect the value of the Jerry Rice rookie card that I got for a gift when I was younger. My kids will need to go to college one day!
Unfortunatly the only card around that we could possibly have that will pay for your kids college is a nice Jordan Rookie Card in perfect Mint hehe
Yeah, true that. Last I checked the Rice card was worth about 100 in mint condition, which my card isn't. I'd trade it for a Barkley rookie card, even though I think the Rice has a higher value.
