This is from ESPN.com. Keep in mind when Moiso worked out for the Rockets I heard nothing but good things -- very good things -- about him.

How does Moiso private pub compare to the workouts of Miles and his rise?

Moiso and Kemp on the floor together. An interesting sight to imagine.

Hmmmm, notice how the article skips over the Rockets as a potential destination? Does that mean they would pass on him?

Mango-if you combine their weights, and give it equally to each, they'd be dominant.....I wonder if they can do things like that with the new technology [IMG]

The more I hear about Moiso, the more he begins to resemble Garnett in his early years. And since then, Garnett has developed a reliable jumpshot. Those of you who have seen Moiso in action, do you feel he has the potential to be the next KG?

MManal brings up the same point I caught when I read that. Why wouldn't the Rockets take him?

The next KG? No. Probably, and 99% not. He doesn't have the ballhandling/passing. He also won't average 12 boards a game.

But, I think he'll be a good player, if he doesn't bomb he may be around an 18-9 type of player, with 1 block per game.

But, he fits the Rockets style....finish the break, start it (with a block or a board), has a good framework of a postup game, not undersized on D (I think his D will improve....he's got the tools, just needs to put them together.) and he's a weakside shot blocking threat.

I certainly wouldn't be dissapointed if we nabbed him.

Why not wrath? Both play facing the basket and both have incredible hops. Is determination the factor?

For pretty much the same reasons NIKE mentioned. I don't think Moiso has the ballhandling/passing ability that KG does. I don't think he has the range KG does, although his shot could develop since Moiso is pretty athletic. Although Moiso could become quite a good shot blocker (especially from the weak side), he doesn't have the defensive versatility (or intensity) of a KG. I mean, KG can practically guard every position but the point guard. Now, this is all a very unfair comparison because KG is very, very good. He's an athletic freak the likes of which we've never seen before -- the guy is now over 7 feet tall ...

Most importantly, I don't think Moiso has the drive and intensity to become an elite player. I see him as being an underachieving starter on a bad team or an ultra-talented bench player on a very good one (a la Marcus Camby). Moiso could thrive in the latter role; we'll just have to see if he wants it bad enough. Right now I say he doesn't.

But hey -- maybe he showed something in his workout with the Rockets that he didn't show at UCLA. I've learned by now not to question our draft picks, so of Rudy and CD draft him I'll assume that they know something I don't.

But the next KG? It's not even fair to Moiso to make that kind of a comparison.

I agree with wrath. Coaches, especially ones of underclassmen leaving early, rarely give glowing reviews like Lavin gave Moiso of "the best potential in the draft".

I believe a rookie Moiso has a better mid range shot than a rookie KG, but rookie KG was 18, while rookie Moiso is 22.

We'll find out if he has "it" soon. Hey, weren't there similar questions about KT? "Lacks focus, and desire"

Rudy may be able to turn him around. He was also on a super talented UCLA, where he had to share the post, and the ball.

Could he be the next Carlos Rogers with a more consistant long range jumper?
