What a cheapo. But from the looks of him, he's a very good player and will be for years to come. We should've dealt for him after the 99-00 season. Since that was when Cato was showing signs of greatness, we should've traded him back to Portland for Jermaine. That would've been nice, but now we are stuck with bum Cato.:(

That dude is amazing. Just think if we had him in the lineup to go along with Wink, Cat, EG, and Mo. I wonder if the Rockets asked for O'neal when they traded Pippen because the Pacers only gave up Dale Davis and at the time Pippen was 8 times better than Dale Davis.

Anyone sure they don't want Mo Taylors "money" 15 ft shot as opposed to J. O'Neal's 7 and 8ft jump hooks. I mean if a guy is limited to 10 or 12 ft, but is very good at that 10-12 ft, its not like its Mo Taylor's "money" 15 ft shot, right?

I can't believe that Dikembe Mutumbo is ahead of O'Neal for the starting spot on the Eastern Conference All Star Team. Let's compare their stats:
Jermain O'Neal: 19 ppg, 10.4 reb, 1.6 ast, 2.53 bpg, shooting 50% from the field.
Dikembe Mutumbo: 10.8 ppg, 11.5 reb, 1 ast, 2.85 bpg, shooting 46.6% from the field. O'Neal is much better than Dikembe. Mutumbo can jus dominate on defense, O'Neal is a dominant offensive and defensive presence.

The starting east center must play Shaq.

    Yes, you are correct.

No one can guard Shaq, so why not start the better player.

Seriously, Jermaine O'Neal isn't as well known as Deke by the casual NBA fan. I mean some of the guys that get All Star votes is ridiculous. Grant Hill and Scottie Pippen still get alot of votes.

If youn actually pay atention to the NBA you will notice that the people who do the majority of the voting stopped watching basketball 4 years ago.
last year Zo, hill, and others were voted in but were injured. its just crazy

To counter your post though I will say that in 10 years after O'Neil has the reputation and clout of a Vetran star center, than he will be getting the votes over some younger player getting double the production.
Its the nature of popular votes.
