It would be pretty close, though. Jeremy would be a good spot up shooter, passer and slasher at the 2. He could become a potential 15-18pt, 6-8asst player in that role. On the defensive end he would be able to stay in front of most other twos. Like i posted before, this would be the ideal bench with Lin in it.

    Canaan
    Lin
    Covington/Brewer
    D-Mo
    Asik

Can this thread be merged with the "Bev trial starts" thread or vice versa?

Playing PnR with Asik is not something any PG would look forward to.

It would be better if they were both just closed. Neither is gonna happen.

Have y'all seen Nash lately? He's killing it. Why do you want to turn Harden into Kobe?

No, Jeremy should be in the same group as DH12.

No. You need Beverley's energy off the bench.

Exactly, thank you. Kinda odd and sad for a mod to say those things and for you to have to respond like this.:eek::(:(

Not this garbage again. Are you even listening to the coaches and their goals for this season?

That's his MO now. His defense has picked up in that preseason game and I think his 3 pt% will be in the 38-40% area now.

I would take every single player on that chart over Jeremy Lin...I feel kind of bad about it, but talent is talent.

That's not too fair of an opinion but LOHs can't be fair in this day and age right? Lin would be fine starting or as a 6th man.

Lin was a good finisher last year, but totally sucked at it two years ago. Meanwhile, he was great at drawing fouls two seasons ago and dropped off significantly last year. I want to see him do both - finish well and draw fouls - in the same season. And I do agree that Lin's and Harden's minutes should be staggered.

Lin is so bad. He is a scrub and belongs in the d-league. Every PG in the league is better than him, heck i would even take Machado, he's 2 years younger than Lin and actually has talent. McHale is forced to play him because he is a cash cow. I feel really bad for Beverly because he is forced to sit behind a scrub just because of "global" marketing, and he knows it too. The only time Lin belongs in the game is during garbage time. I hope we trade him for Mario Chalmers or Kirk Hinrich but I'm afraid they will demand too much, like a first round pick.

I would not be surprised. Your logic and player assessment is impeccable and beyond reproach. I agree.

Agreed. Dude is so bad. I'm with Codman as well. He's just here cuz he's asian, no offense and all those Asian dollars and global marketing. Just telling it like I see it. Anybody but Jeremy.

IMO same as last season Lin will still be the starter, he will not get to play a lot of 4thQ like last season, he will run with the 2nd unit a lot like last season.
