Could there be a break through for the "Many not the few"? as the Labour campaign slogan says. Let's hope so for the many and those of us who are not conservatives or contented moderates of the Tony Blair/ Clinton/ Obama school who have been so ineffective or is it just unconcerned? with the redistribution of wealth upward.
    http://www.wired.co.uk/article/election-polls-labour-conservative-winner.

A new poll conducted by London research company Qriously gives Labour a three-point lead over the Conservatives in the 2017 UK general election 2017.

The survey puts Labour on 41.3 per cent of the vote and the Conservatives at 38.5 per cent, making the final result too close to call because the difference falls within the 3.2 per cent margin of error.

I hope he wins but I'm not optimistic @glynch.

That polling company is one of the worst I've ever seen, and I've been watching the outlets that have been recently cherry picking online polls for signs that the conservatives are going to lose. I'm finding that those outlets lean heavily conservative and the polls are of relatively poor quality.

My hunch is that the UK conservative-leaning media is exaggerating Corbyn's acceleration to scare conservatives to come out to vote and to give an excuse to young people not to spend time voting (i.e. we're going to win anyway, why stand in line somewhere).

Let's see how it goes. I think Corbyn will make consistent gains but not sure he has enough time to close the gap (which was the cowardly point of the surprise election) and IF he loses, you know there will be another internal Labour party coup ramping up.

I think Corbyn will probably lose, but like with Bernie it shows the battle is on between the left and the contented yet ineffective moderates like Blair, Clintons and Obama for the soul of two parties that used to support working folks.
Corbyn has solidified his leadership of Labour as he will do better than your typical bland centrist..

Exit polls are projecting a hung parliament. With that said, they're just exit polls. But either way, the Tories really underperformed. They were running against one of the most unpopular Labour leaders in modern times and somehow managed to blow it.

That didn't help but May screwed up beyond the Trump association. She was astonishingly terrible at campaigning and Corbyn did surprisingly well. Corbyn actually came across as somewhat thoughtful and even if you didn't agree with him, no one doubted that he was a fighter.

May, on the other hand, sounded like a robot who flip flopped every other day on different parts of the Tory Manifesto.

Even Russian hacking and interference can't cause one to lose to a Jeremy Corbyn led Labour Party. You have to be a really special leader to manage to screw this up.

I think this reinforces the notion that the majority of people are simply angry, but not particularly partisan. There's a worldwide throw-the-bums-out mentality, and whoever's in charge is going to face that wrath, regardless if the opposition consists of crazy people like Corbyn or Trump.

I'm not so sure. I think the Tories gambled on the collapse of UKIP and assuming that those voters will go to the Tories. They basically assumed that Brexit would decide the election.

Instead the Labour successfully highlighted health care and the challenges with the NHS as well as things like tuition fees and housing costs. The Tories weren't prepared to actually have a policy fight. The Tories just thought Brexit would carry the day. I think there is genuine anger at the system but Labour actually highlighted those problems and campaigned on fixing them, the Tories didn't. If anything Corbyn should be commended for really trying to win on policy issues. A lot of people who didn't really agree with him actually thought he was at least trying to address issues. The Tories were too busy proposing stupid ideas and running away from them.

Corbyn is a nut but he actually campaigned quite well and May didn't.

Interesting that all nationalist candidates in Europe significantly underperformed their predictions since Trump got elected.

Even more interesting is that someone named Lord Buckethead dressed like Darth Vader literally with a bucket on his head was running against Teresa May.

And you thought our elections are bizarre.

Actually ... give me Lord Buckethead over who we've got in office now.

Ordinary folks both in the US and Britain a
Corbyn is not crazy; nor is he Trump. Just not a contented moderate.

So sorry for your gal Le Pen. I would imagine your Fox News and Breitbart are calling Corbyn far left?

More good news "For the many not the few", though it is always hard to count big money and the establishment out.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/News/u...on-latest-betfair-exchange-odds-a7780431.html

Jeremy Corbyn is now favourite to become the next Prime Minister.

The Labour leader is now more likely to lead the country than Theresa May, according to Betfair Exchange.

People backing Mr Corbyn for leader will win £2.48 for every pound they put on. Those backing Ms May will win £2.58

Corbyn isn't becoming PM. The Tories will form a government with outside support from DUP (an Irish Unionist Party). Labour did quite well this election but the SNP collapsing in Scotland really ruined their chances of forming a government.
