Couple things: Said that Nachbar had a really disappointing summer league and that he needed to improve his strength. However, he said he really liked his game and thought that added strength would make him a much better player. He also said that the argument over whether Francis was a point guard or a two guard was overblown. He said the future of the league is guys like Francis, not the pass-first point guards of the past like John Stockton. He said Francis is very good GUARD, period. He said they will play a lot of different combinations with all the players and find what works best but naming a position for Francis based on the traditional definitions wasn't really important.
Also, he said that Piatkowski will help them stretch the defense and that he is a much better athlete than many people think. Said that they didn't want to lose Posey but that the contract was just too high. Commented that Adrian Griffin was a very hard worker and good defender and that there should be good competition at the three with him, Boki and guards that may slide over in smaller lineups. Said that Piatkowski's game really complimented the penetration of Francis and Mobley (he did mention Mobley specifically) and Yao's inside post-up game.
