My ex-boyfriend was mentioned yesterday on the radio during an interview with former GM Exec Dave Checketts.

They were talking about the Knicks and here is what is said about JVG:

Checketts said the Knicks don't have a winning environment.

"They have just made a lot of mistakes," Checketts said. "There is no environment that demands winning. You can watch it on the bench and you see Zach Randolph shoot an airball from three, come out of the game and get congratulated by everybody. I think Jeff Van Gundy would have spit on him. That's too dramatic, but there is not an environment that demands winning, that expects winning and the kind of character guys that want to win."

Oh man! What I wouldn't give to see my Bald Genius whoop up on players like Zach who basically don't give a fcku and just collect paychecks.

Amazing how players can sleep with that type of attitude.

you know having jvg as a coach up there is probably the only way to correct the situation in NY. i know JVG would go nuts, but if they are starting to clean up management he would be the best coach for that team. he would trade away all the talent for hustle guys and help reshape the culture there in a few years.

i can just imagine JVG just going ape**** on zach and steph

Why do they have to interview Checketts for something so obvious?

JVG is a smart man and political animal. He wants no part of Zach. Zach will slam dunk JVG's ass into the basket.

Lots of us dated coaches in our past. Some haven't let go yet.

Van gundy is one of our most important and loyal propagandists. Even after his exile, Van Gundy continues to spread our vision and our cause.

always remember the keys to a better self:

I really dont want Van Gundy coaching the knicks, cos he will facilitate trades to get shane, hayes and Yao, you all know how we likes his ex players, the problem tho is that New York has nothing that we want. And for every good piece like Nate Robinson or David Lee, we have a bigger, better and more motivated version on our team.

But i'm sure if Jeff tried spitting on Randolph, he would be taken home in a bag

Yao in NYC would be insane for the NYK franchise.
When the rox visit NY, I think there were as many rox (yao) fans as knicks fans.

They asked Gundy in the past if he would coach the Knicks again...

Basically, as long as the ownership stays the same, he won't even go into the building.

Who the hell will go into that crap hole anyways. Need to take out the garbage first.

I don't think JVG was ever spreading our, as in Houston Rockets, cause as much as he was spreading the late 90's NY Knicks cause. That guy will always be a New Yorker at heart.
