Hey, Rockets talk on a Houston sports radio station! Who would have thought it were possible?

Props to Matt cause I know he and Adam give us the only significant Rocket talk. I will listen on my drive home.

    - Took his daughter to Vegas to see Christina Aguilera's half time show. (Not sure if it was a joke or not)

    - Concerned about how they are playing at home. 13-3 to start the season at home, 6-4 since. Have not liked their effort on either side of the court at home. Thinks the new atmosphere has worn off on the team.

    - Plays their best when they get the ball to TMac early in the shot clock but without flat out deffering to him and relying on just him to do everything. Rafer and Luther at PG need to find that fine line. Have to get Bonzi posted earlier in the shot clock.

    - Doesn't think any other player in the league could have helped them win more when Yao went out than TMac. Deke has played well but has tapered recently, Rafer and Juwon continue to play solid ball.

    - TMac playing more effeciently and aggresively. Not as good the last two games. They have had their best games when he starts fast and ends fast.

    - He shouldn't change his approach when Yao come back.

    - Believes they always have enough to win with but margin of error dropped dramatically when Yao went down.

    - Thought they played well last year without TMac and Yao but didn't have Battier and Deke playing at a high level.

    - Fight is just beginning. Getting a top 5 seed is very hard and the team has to realize they have a lot to continue to improve on.

    - Feels like they have had a drop in fight. Thinks maybe it is because everyone is now used to not playing with Yao and guys getting accustomed to their minutes instead playing at a higher level to make up for Yao not being there.

    - Feels they should have a hall of fame for just the NBA. Feels the game is about the players and their should be a lot more players nominated than it is this year (3 of 15 nominees are players).

Yeah I heard him! I agree about having NBAs own hall of fame and players being the core of the game!

he was on 790 in the five o'clock hour. must be day to talk to media day. I like listening to van gundy for the most part. some of his stuff gets tired. but for the most part he is a good interview because he speaks his mind.
