Jeff Green hopes to play 2 more yrs - retire a Rocket

Well, I like the dude, but he wasn’t used by Ime where we could’ve used some shooting so don’t care one way or the other.

 

I like Unc, and maybe as a practice player/mentor...

But, I feel like we're going to be too good for him to occupy a spot.

 

I trust Unc, and would love to see him retire a Rocket

 

At this point I think he just needs to look at Asst Coach positions. We will probably have to replace Royal Ivey at some point soon.

 

Is there a better minimum salary veteran you have your eye on? Green seems a perfect fit for the role he would play. He already knows the players. Is a great role model in every regard.

 

He'd have to take less, but I would definitely keep him as a reserve if he was willing. But 8 million is just too much, we'll see what happens.

 

I hope Sydney Sweeney gives me a topless hug one day.

 

Perhaps our best corner 3 shooter, and still shockingly athletic for his seniority. He played great in the minutes he played. I was surprised by all those DNP-CDs vs GSW. Thought he would've been some + minutes, and might've made a difference. Hope he stays and retires a Rocket.

If Ime was going to play him it would be one thing--I think Jeff can still provide a few solid minutes here and there--but if not, then I don't see much reason to use a roster spot on him

Did Unc play any non-garbage minutes in the playoffs?

 

Not sure, but he should've done. Unc stays ready whenever we put him in, super consistent. He deserves the 15th spot more than people like Nate Williams and whoever the **** "David Roddy" is? I'm pretty sure that last one's some kind of made up money laundering scheme because I never heard of that person ever.

He played 6 minutes in 3 games.....2 min each contest.

1 of them was fairly close and in San Francisco but I would not read too much into 2 minutes.

You might as well sign back Boban, it all comes down to the regular season, if the Rox cruise to 57 Wins with ease, then you can easily give him that.

I just do not see 2 more years but again Udoka has prioritized veterans.

1. Unc is huge for the locker room and when he plays, brings it.
2. This could indicate KD coming. Maybe others.

For number 2, he’s a good vet. To want to stay here he must truly see a path to championship contention in those 2 years or else he’d go elsewhere to finish. Like OKC. He has to know things.
