    HI guys,

I want to commend you on a wonderfull Idea. this last game of the year thing is great.

However it occured to me as I sit in My house(snowed in)that this is something that should be done something like 4 times/ season. not only will 4 times/ season be infrequent enough that is still makes the event "special", but it would be frequent enough that most BBS users wouls be able to make at least one game. additionally adding a couple of hundred rabid rockets fans to the mix would sure help the atmosphere at games. not to mention attendance numbers.

another perk is, to make this a re-occuring thing now while seating is plentafull will only help us all get to games in a few years when every night is a sell out.

lastly. well There is no way I can come and I would realy like to be there. Damn this living in NY thing.

anyway just wanted to give my opinion.

    peace

Voice where you at? I'm in Queens and we only got about 2 inches with maybe 2 - 4 tomorrow.

    Nothing like they were saying.

Great idea about the games! I'd be there!

While it isn't a bad idea, we definitely have to come up with a better system. Not only has the response been overwhelming, but it is an awful lot of work.

Plus, buying nearly $3000 worth of tickets hoping that everyone will show up isn't exactly the best feeling in the world.

We'll call this a test case scenario and see where it goes from there.

wow I didnt realize the risk you were taking. I think the rockets should hold the tickets for you rather than making yoyu pre-pay for them. as it is you are bringing 200 people to the game which the rockets DO want. that 200people equates to over 3000 in ticket sales as well as an aditional 2-3000 in vendor sales, not to mention parking revenues.

I would ask the rockets to just reserve a section of 200 plus seats for all of you that are going.

also to avoid the risk of buying and losing $2000 in tickits. I suggest using your wifes jewelry site to get the risk down. if you pit rox tickets on there, as in, "if you are a member of CC.net, or SOR, and are interested please pree pay for your ticket by going to this site, and give me your creditcard info
    WWW.la-DE-da.com

just an idea, it might be illegal, but i am just trying to help

wow, i just got another idea

have the ticketoffice made aware of the SOR/CC.net event, and tell all interested to call ticket office, order tickets, and mention clutch inorder to get tickets together. so mess no stress

    peace

First off, brilliantcostumejewels.com is my wife's and my business site. It is what we do for a living.

Second, you CANNOT charge costs to a merchant account for a purpose other than your actual business. Merchant services are VERY picky about that type of thing.

Finally, even if we did, I'd have to pay the percentage per charge cost on every ticket (from 1.7 to 5% depending on a variety of things) and then separate out all of the direct deposits (there would literally be dozens) from my regular business deposits. No thanks!!!

All the tickets will be located together (we hope). We spoke to them about this and they are planning on seating us close together.

This is a ONE TIME thing. There is NO WAY I would get into doing this on a regular basis. It is simply too hard. I've spent hours on it already and we are over a month away from the game. That doesn't even count all the mailing of tickets, confirming people, collecting money, etc.

I'm glad we are doing it, but I don't think I want to do it again any time soon.

Of course, if anyone wants to volunteer to do it next time, I'm all ears... [IMG]
