I know there are a few of you out there... are you glad you bought it? any regrets? did you buy the one with the V-6? or the cheaper model? any thoughts at all are appreciated.
My wife and I almost bought a Liberty. We were set to go get one and then on a whim we test drove a Honda Pilot. My wife fell in love with it, especially the room and fold down 3rd seat. We had nothing against the Liberty we just found a good fit in the Pilot. The high end Liberty was not that much less than the deal we got on our mid-range Pilot.
You forgot to ask them if their Jeep Liberty came with the lipstick holder in place of the cigarette lighter.
My parents bought a Liberty when their minivan gave out. I've driven it twice but I have no interest in it. I know it's the Sport model (not V6) and most likely 2WD. They really like it. I don't think they went out specifically in search of a Liberty or SUV but saw an ad in the newspaper. Sorry I can't add much other than nice ride and cool radio
I have a Jeep and don't like it. I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee in '96. Jeeps are well known for having a lot of "little" problems. Everything from wiper failure, window failure...just little things that drive you nuts. I will say this...it is a good ride. But I will never buy a Jeep product again.
everyone i know who has a grand cherokee was disappointed..everyone i know who bought a plain old cherokee, loved it...and continue to buy jeep products.
I used to drive a Jeep Cherokee and never had any problems with it. And I use to beat the shiznit out of it, too. I have a couple of relatives who have grand cherokees and they are very happy with them.
We got a White LX.They had a White EX but my 2 year old and Leather seats don't go together. My wife drives it most of the time and she loves it. It has tons of room and it has a nice smooth ride. She likes being "High up" and being able to see the road well. The fold down third seat is also nice. It is not the roomiest but it is better than the Tahoe's 3rd seat. CK
We've had our Jeep YJ (same as Wrangler) for over 10 years now. Other then 4 or 5 recalls in the first year (you'ld never guess they'd been making this car for 50+ years ) we've had no problems. Coming up on 11 years on the road and not one repair (other than oil changes, new tires and the above mentioned recalls) Looking to trade it in though...Not enough room for the Misses, the young'un and pending twins!! Going to have to give up the rag-top Will be considering the Pilot, or Liberty this summer.
MadMax, check out the Chronicle on Saturdays for Jeep specials. I think you'll find the Liberty to be a great value compared to other baby SUV's. Keep in mind the Liberty is comparable to Honda's CR-V. Cool. The Pilot is my favorite SUV.
A good friend bought a Liberty a year ago. he LOVES it. He is 53 years old, and it is probably his favorite out of all the vehicles he has ever owned. He got the V6, 4WD. If you're getting an SUV...don't accept for less. BTW...it hasn't been in the shop a single day, except for when he takes it in for scheduled maintenance.
My Liberty is in the shop right now, but because it was hit, not because it had a technical problem. I've had it 4 months, and loved it. 2WD V6. If you're not doing serious off road type stuff, the 2WD is fine, but I think the V6 is a necessity with it. It's just really well designed, some little things that are nice- -remote gate access -center console is a also a CD case -windows/locks...windows are in the middle which is odd at first, but it's easier and removes all the clutter from the driver side door once you're used to it. -The lighting system is cool- push button lights all around that light up when you unlock the car, return to normal once you start it, and all the lights automatically go out once you lock the car. It's a real luxury when it's dark outside, or if you forget to turn off overhead lights.
I think ROXRAN has a liberty... I like them, but the Honda Element is pretty cool to. I saw one at the car show. The outside isn't much to look at but the inside is awesome. The back seats fold up to the side and the whole interior is water-proof. You can waterhose the whole thing out. Sweet.
Yeah, me either. I've never really understood that line of reasoning. I'm not driving my Explorer on any rugged frontier (except the pothole ridden streets of Dallas), so why pay tons more for 4WD?
exactly...i think the 2WD can handle anywhere I need to go. i believe in roads. of course, in the future, where we're going, we don't need roads! (a little back to the future bit for ya, since i know you're a big fan...the second one still sucks by the way!)
as i so eloquently stated at our meeting at Nick's Place...nothing comes close to the original. the original is the ONLY good one of the trilogy...so much so that I think it does real injustice to the word, "trilogy," to call it that!
You sicken me. Can I safely assume that we share the same favorite trilogy? And oh yeah, I like the Jeep Liberty.
