I never liked Clinton but they raised their daughter well. You never heard anything like that happening and she went to a good college and did well. She looked like a muppet but at least she did get in trouble and embarass her family. There are some problems in the Bush family. I know that getting drunk and using fake ID's are not a big deal but when your dad is the President, you have to act accordingly. Those kids are role models whether they like it or not.
Yeah kids all over the world grow up wanting to be just like Chelsea Clinton because of how great of a person she is...
Actually, she is a role model to younger girls. She grew up in the White House during eight very tumultuous years. Many people (adults who should know better) spent time ridiculing Chelsea because she didn't happen to look like a Barbie doll -- what 14-year-old girl does? By all accounts she has grown into an intelligent, mature and compassionate young woman. This is difficult enough when you live a normal life, but as the daughter of the President it must be almost impossible.
Well since I'm probably within a year of her age, I can honestly say I don't remember any chicks talking about how they want to grow up to be just like Chelsea Clinton. Sure it's nice that she didn't get in any serious trouble, but seriously, no one I grew up with gave a damn about her... I mean I wish I could have had a governor/president for a father and had the ability to go traveling all over the world and meet pretty much any celebrity I would want to meet. The whole Clinton/Lewinksy thing probably sucked, but it's not like Chelsea fought the odds and made something out of herself. She's just a rich kid that doesn't like to party in my opinion...
MAN!!! That chick looks like a strung out Main street hooker! I had an old girlfriend who had a prescription for Xanax back when I was in college.......uhhhh.........maybe I should just stop right there....
Bush and Clinton chose to be Clinton. They are the ones that need to act responsible and not embarress our country. Chelsea and the Bush daughters did not choose to be presidential kids. The media is making a big deal out of nothing. Who cares, we didn't elect them to office. Chelsea did not make Clinton a better president and the Bush daughters does not make Bush a worse president/governer. During the Lewinsky fiasco, maybe believe everyone need to butt out of the presidentials private affairs. I believe we should take this stance here too and stand behind the president/governer, not criticize him.
Well, when you grow up and have your own kids, you will appreciate it a lot more. Your feel as if your kids are a reflection of who you are and raising kids is not an easy task. You dont get a manual when they pop out. I may not like Bill Clinton but I have to give it to him that I think that he raised his daughter well. That is as big of a compliment that any parent can get. Regardless if you feel like Chelsea Clinton is a role model or not, she is. I am only a few years older than her and no I didnt think about how I wanted to be like her. She did handle the pressure of being the Presidents child well and that is more than we can say for GWB's kids and his brothers kids.
Well I'm sure Chelsea lived a much more sheltered life than the Bush daughters. I mean how old was she when daddy became president? I imagine if the Bush daughters spent their teen years in a sheltered white house, they might be different too. Chelsea lived a sheltered life, she was trained to not be a trouble maker, way to go Chelsea! And how many times can I type sheltered in this post? Hmmm......
The Bush daugthers were 12 when their Dad became governor of Texas...not the White House, but still a pretty prestige gig.
It is a pretty big gig, and to that I'll add that Clinton was a governor so that just adds to the number of Chelsea training years. Anyway, everyone in the country (maybe even world) knows who the president's daughter is, not everyone in the state would recognize who their governor's daughters are. So the Bush twins had a much more normal 12-18 years than Chelsea, which makes it easier for Chelsea to be as boring as she is...
I am sure that the Bush daughters grew up in the ghetto. The Bush's are so less well off than the Clinton's. Give me a break, their grand dad was president. The family has tons of money. Their dad was governor. Their dad is the president now. I can imagine how they were raised in a much less "sheltered environment" than Chelsea.
if any president's kid had a reason to go wild, it was chelsea. bar and jenna were the same age chelsea was when W became governor in 94. granted, that's not on the same level but I'm sure their lives were just as "sheltered".
My point is the Bush daughters could probably walk the streets of Austin without being recognized by strangers during their teen years. I don't think that was possible for Chelsea...hence the sheltered life...
