    Deron Fisher
    Giricek Brewer Almond
    AK47 Harpring
    Boozer Millsap
    Okur Collins Fesenko

*Minor trade: Philly traded Fesenko (38th) to Jazz for Herbert Hill (55th) + future pick

So they added some much needed shooting at guard and an athletic 7ft PF/C glasseater. Should the Rockets be worried?

They're also comfortably under the LT threshold so could potentially add a full MLE player + 2 min salary players to complete their roster.

A scary thought is they've got the pieces to do a S&T for Gerald Wallace.

since we couldnt beat them w/o those additions..and the only thing we added was mike james..i say we should be worried..since we have no PF..the problem is..the jazz found a way to contain yao (not stop)..but we havnt found a way to contain boozer.

Landry will save us next season against Boozer.

Yes we should be worried, they seem to be getting better, while the Rockets seem to be swimming in a sea of undersized PGs.

Morey better be one great horse trader, because his draft was underwhelming.....

IF Bonzi is really back and determined then you are leaving him out. Determined Bonzi + Mike James make us a much better team IMO.

Too early to tell. I will wait and see how the Rockets and Jazz do during free agency and then I will compare both Rosters to see which team has the better team. I will be rooting for the Rockets to add a quality PF.

Clearly, anytime you bolster your 3rd string center, you've made a big improvement.

No question about it. Our biggest weakness was the bench play, Bonzi and MJ alone give you two quality players off the bench that -- if in shape and focused on their game -- is enough to provide that much needed bench production.

We have a top-notch "starting five" as a group, our weakness is and has always been the bench.

They should look into Kareem Rush if Almond isnt ready to contribute or shoot at a high %. Rockets (James, Wells) have improved more than the Jazz thus far in the offseason. I expect the Rockets to make some more noise, Utah not so much. Unless they trade AK.

They're a good team based on what they ALREADY had. I don't think this move improves them that much... I just wanna beat the hell out of them next yr!!!!

I don't think they've improved that much with their small trade.. BUT if they get G.Wallace, then they could be quite a force next season.

I see MJ as a slight improvement. I don't really count Bonzi as an improvement, we'll have to wait till the season start for that. If anything, it wasn't getting Bonzi back that was the improvement, it was getting Ricky A.

I agree with Ziggy, we've improved more than the Jazz.. at least if you view Ricky A as an upgrade over JVG. I'm gonna stay on the optimistic side and say we've added more talent by getting Rick.

As for the draft, I'd see it as a failure if we don't get a good trade to ease the pain. Everything points to a big trade coming up for us with our current roster, but I'm a little skeptical of our new GM and if he's going to make the right trade or not.

    Don't disappoint us twice Morey!

Fesenko is not even going to play for them next year, maybe not ever. Fesenko is a project big man.

Almond can't handle T-Mac or Bonzi. He won'tget off the bench in Sloan's system, because of his defense.

You also have to factor in we really didn't play the real AK-47 in the playoffs last season. I think whomever does better with their MLE or pulls off a nice trade will have the upper hand next year. One thing is for certain, our coaching and offense will improve and we definitely won't have another game where only 4 people score. So it's a draw at this point in the off season. There could easily be a chance of playing them in the 1st round again next year. If you think about it, we don't really have to contain Boozer much better if we can just up our scoring.

The Jazz are among the top destinations for Morris Peterson, apparently. He'd fit into their system extremely well and be a key role player, busting defenses open when his shooting is on, and good finisher with a running team.

I'm not worried. I don't think the Jazz could have beaten us last season if we had a legitimate third scorer like Mike James. I also don't think they could have beaten us without Derek Fisher. Well, now we have Mike James and they don't have Derek Fisher.

Almond will have to have one hell of a rookie campaign to change my mind.

I doubt they go after Morris Peterson. They are one Deron William's injury away from having their 2nd string PG play 48 min/g. They needs to be chasing point guards instead of becoming Utah's SG/SF answer to the Rocket's 7 PG team. :D
