Is Jazz the single most physical team in the playoffs? Spurs/Nuggets and Mavs/Warriors are also physical, but not close to how Jazz has been playing. Watching Nuggests vs Spurs right now. The amount of space the defense is giving is so much more than what Jazz is giving.

I agree....Giricek practically fouls TMac on every possession when he guards him. Handchecks aren't allowed anymore so he uses his forearms to bump TMac when Tmac catches the ball to keep him off balance every single time. JVG should alert the refs about this.

There is a reason why the Jazz lead the league in FTs allowed per game during the season. They play physical and will risk fouling the opposing team.

The Jazz are who we think they are.

They're pretty physical. The impressive thing is that they keep it up the whole game. San Antonio and Detroit can both play more physical for bursts (SA can straight up mug you if the refs allow it) but Utah plays with the most constant energy.

And every time you get up on them, they set an amazing back-pick and alley-oop for a slam, taking your momentum with it. I'd freaking kill to have Harping in a Rocket uniform.

Abso-freakin-lutely the Jazz are far and away the most physical team in the league.

I can't believe the amount of bumping and holding and pushing they get away with, and a whole bunch of it is DURING THE SHOTS we're taking!!!!

My 11-year old son can see the fouls the Jazz are committing even before I struggle to avoid saying the worst possible curse words in front of him while watching the game.

He knows that in Houston, the game is called close to 50-50, but he and I both saw at least a dozen calls that should have been no calls, or calls FOR the Rox that went against us in Utah. I'm definitely afraid they will get those same calls in Utah!!!

Noticed that too, much more physical than Spurs-Nuggets game.
I would love to have Harpring on the Rockets.

Jazz is hard nose defense team that was trained by Jerry back into the time that Karl and Stockton were playing. They do not afraid to fould hard. Did you see Milsap fouled T-Mac hard when he got to the lane. But you can not be intimidating by that. Not to mention they know how to flop and get away with it. We have to match their instensity in the next game and go beyond that.

I think refs should pay more attention to Jazz's dirty defence which were not gotten call.

IF we can get through the Jazz, which to me is still a big if (notice I capitalized it :D ) then I think it bodes well for us that they've been so physical. Imagine the feeling of freedom in the 2nd round when our players don't have someone in their face the entire game.

In some respect, I agree, Jazz's rough play can better prepare us IF we make it to the next round. But defense is only half the game. Not to sound pessimistic but both Mavs and Warriors will probably give the Rox all they can handle on the offensive ends. And not to mention, both of them are quick and playing above-average defense at this point.

The suffocating D has been holding Yao in check so far in the last few games. I wouldn't mind seeing Yao getting his old touch back and become dominant again.

That is how Stockton and Malone got their reps. Both are known as dirty players especially Malone.
