Jason Williams (the ex Nets player) rumored to be trying to make a comeback

According to the New York Post

"Jayson Williams is looking to make a comeback. The ex-Nets star was working hard the other night with Clippers star Elton Brand and two other players, and he was doing wind sprints between scrimmages."

If he can do anything like he's done in the past he'd be a perfect compliment to Yao... and despite what he was being charged with as i recall he was a good locker room guy to have...

So what do you guys think... if Jason Williams can get in NBA shape should we sign him?

That will never happen, the Rockets didn't even keep Eddie Griffin, they won't even blink at Jayson Williams.

He must of paid the lawyers a lot of money, and now, he is running low on cash. He's probably going broke.

If he can still rebound, then he will get signed... it really doesn't matter who he killed. Unfortunately, that's the way sports works these days.

How old is he? He hasn't even been in the league in like 5 years.

    Doubt it will happen.

    How about an involuntary manslaughterer?

I don't have a problem with it, personally. If he denied altogether shooting the guy, I would, but he admitted it, but that it was an accident.

He seems to have other anger management problems that would keep me away, but I won't hold manslaughter against him.

You guys are too funny...Hell with Jayson Williams, we should stop this thread right here. There is no way the Rockets want this guy.

Looks like crazyguypete is living up to his screen name. Come on man. I know this guy is a better shot than EG, but that's not the kind of range that the Rox are looking for.

involuntary manslaughter is one thing, but the fact that he tried to cover it up and tell all the other houseguests to go along w/ his story and make it look like a suicide is criminal and immoral. i always liked him as a player and commentator, but now i think he is a piece of garbage. he should have been locked away for a long time for his actions after shooting the guy.

he only admitted that it was an accident after he was already busted. his initial response was to try and pin it on his victim.

the only thing that would make me sicker is if the rockets signed malone.

What exactly did he have to say about shooting his dog for no reason.

    Yeah, I think I'll pass.

Didn't the Rockets try to trade for him in '92 or '93? I think they were offering Vernon Maxwell, but the deal got struck down for some reason.
