There have always been rumors of Jay-Z being an anti-christ... I just thought that this was pretty interesting when I saw his latest music video "on to the next one" when there's specific pictures in there that are pretty offensive. Here's the video for those who haven't seen it. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WM1RChZk1EU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WM1RChZk1EU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> I also watched this video, I'm not that much of a believer when it comes to people pulling stuff out of nothing but this kinda amazed me in what he pointed out. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KjVxA5eZs_U&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KjVxA5eZs_U&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> It might be nothing or it might be something... Just curious on people take on this.
Marketing. Jay-Z does have a mysterious ability about him, I won't deny it. He's a very influential dude. His music is almost universal. His wealth status is staggering. Being named CEO of Def Jam at a pretty young age. He is also very smart and an intellectually curious type. I know he follows a lot of "indie" bands and such to check them out and see what they are doing. To me that signifies that he has been trying to come up with a more eclectic sound, something really groundbreaking. Now do I think this means he's trying to take over the world? Of course not, I just think he's trying to make even more money than he already has.
Well according to Revelations, The Bible speaks of the unholy trinity that will rise in the end times. The Antichrist will rise to power under the guise of a peacemaker, he will unite the world. The false prophet will rise out of the sea and be the mouthpiece of the Antichrist to trick the people of Earth into following the Antichrist. And of course Satan himself, or the beast would round out the 3.
I think the OP is referring to Jay-Z being an anti-Christ in the sense of being in direct opposition and not the traditional figure we see in Revelation (yes, without the "s").
Interesting..just last night, Messianic Jew Perry Stone was talking about how there are 4 schools of thought on the antichrist and Revelations 1. He's largely symbolic 2. He's already came (Nero) as Revelations was talking about events yet to come when it was prophesized - but the events have now already come to past 3. The Antichrist is a spirit and has manifested in several people throughout history (Hitler, Nero, etc) 4. He's the person that will rule the earth for 2-1/2yrs and battle Christ at Armegeddon. Interestingly, it wasn't until the 1300's that St. Augustine began making popular the idea that Revelations and Daniel are to be interpreted literally as the end of times. Before then, it was seen as largely symbolic.
well, i don't know who "Messianic Jew Perry Stone" is, but i do believe that evil has many incarnations, whether or not those incarnations are manifestations of the devil, the antichrist, or just their minions. and while i don't really believe in god, in the traditional sense, i have no problem with the concept of angels.
If Jay-z has had any relations with dark force it's because of his song "Lucifer ". Still, that doesn't bother me, neither does this video or song (which was the best one on the BP3).
http://necolebitchie.com/2010/01/14/swizz-beatz-director-sam-brown-speak-on-on-to-the-next-one Video Director Sam Brown In An Interview With Vibe.com I’m aware of the stir the video has caused and what people are saying. I think when you’re dealing in abstract imagery people are going to want to draw lines between things and make sense of it. However, I’ve always felt that the viewing public was, in general, extremely visually literate. They don’t always want or need things to be spelt out for them. One of the great things about music videos are they can be enjoyed purely visually—it doesn’t need to mean anything or make any sense. Conspiracy theory is another thing entirely, and seems to me to be about projecting pre-existing beliefs and desperately looking for things that confirm them. There is imagery in this video that is drawn from all over the place. None of it is owned by any one culture or belief system. You can connect anything if you try hard enough, and make it mean anything you want it to. Vibe:So what was the overall direction Jay was looking for? He gave me a very loose brief, and made it clear that we should be progressive with the video. All the imagery was thought up by me and was a response to the track itself. For those interested, the idea is actually about a funeral for old imagery and ideas, hence all the gothic and oppressive stuff. I was also trying to contradict the excess of hip-hop videos by making something brutally simple and claustrophobic.
Eh, alot of the people who have risen to fame have done it in the worst way possible..... Sad thing is that most people dont know what's behind they're fav songs..... A little research on Snoop Dog and The Beatles may surprise many of yall....
No, you go ahead and do the research.... Its late and I have been in college all day lol.... Dont tempt me either..
