I guess coach Karl didn't want to risk playing a rookie in a close game, the #2 pick played 2 mins and didnot score. I also guess it's better than 17 points in 15 mins, since I don't hear anyone dissing him for that.;)

Yeah, coach Karl said that he wanted to go with this veterans
for the tourney, and that he would give Jay Williams limited playing time.

The reason is a two parter: One, he wants to make sure he wins the
Gold, and putting in a rookie is too much a risk. And two, throwing
Jay Williams into the "fire" too soon might embarrass Jay Williams
on national TV. He wants to reserve that right for the Chicago Bulls
    coach! ;)

I wish you worked for ESPN Kayman. This crap is ridiculous, putting down a 21 year old for scoring for points than minutes played. It is as if they think he can shoot thunderbolts out of his arse.

Jay Will is good, but he is young. Like Ming, give him time before you judge him. But looking at both of their accomplishments so far, they both look great. Leave it at that.

If I had Baron Davis and Andre Miller on my team, Jay Williams would never leave the bench without a 20 point lead.

He's going to be good, but Davis and Miller are obviously better now.

    .

Jay will get a lot of time this coming season. I really want to see
how he performs all season. He's got some good talent around him
    in Chi-town.

Collison's not on the active roster for the tourney itself; he's the first (and only) alternate from the collegiate ranks.
