He had a triple double but he also he 14 turnovers. That is really weird to see him doing it. He tied the record for most turnovers by one person. That is just plain ugly. ------------------ Vice President of the Jason Collier fan club!
Yeah you can say that. But it doesnt look like a good quadruple. ------------------ Vice President of the Jason Collier fan club!
Yeah, I know - nothing to be proud of. He had as many turnovers as the Knicks put together. And the rest of the Suns for that matter too. Perhaps we shouldn't complain to much about Francis turning it over a couple of times. But 14 - how is that remotely possible, they need to have a new rule in the NBA. 6 turnovers and your out of the game - Just like fouls ------------------ Heath
I request a drug test. Was Darryl Strawberry seen anywhere near the Suns facilities recently? I mean, how else could one of the premier PGs in league turn the ball over FOURTEEN times? I didn't know that was possible. Who did he tie for the record? ------------------ "I have a DREAM.........his name's Hakeem." DREAMer's Rocket Page
From the official NBA Glossary of Terms is the definition of a quadruple double, and I quote as always... An extremely rare (it's only happened four times in NBA history) achievement in which a player accumulates doubles figures in four of the following categories in the same game: points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots. So, technically, he only got a triple double... 14 turnovers is still pretty sad, though... ------------------ If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!! Well it still is four categories with double figures, but I can see why it woulnt be considered in for getting a quad double. You would wanna have the doubles to be positive ones, and not add in TO and minutes for that matter ------------------ Heath
DREAMer, He tied John Drew's record (Atlanta), which he set 22 years ago. I thought I'd never see the day that Jason Kidd, one of the best point guards in the NBA and an excellent ball handler, would get 14 turnovers. I mean, it seems like you would have to try damn hard to get such a stat line. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Rockets crush Bucks. Read The Cat's latest game recap.
Anyone hear that the Suns have put Kidd on the block now for enbarrasing them! ------------------ Miggidy Markell says: 1. Eastcoast is da sh*t 2. Rockets rule 3. Hip/Hop is dope 4. Buy the new Ruff Ryders album! Miggidy Markell is watching Stay STRAPPED & WATCH ya back or be Assimilated.
And Francis commits 5 TO's and everyone wants to trade him . ------------------ "There are two players carrying the Rockets right now. Hakeem and Olajuwon." Isiah Thomas
I know for a fact that Pip has gotten a quadruple double like that before. ------------------ "There are two players carrying the Rockets right now. Hakeem and Olajuwon." Isiah Thomas
I couldn't find info for seasons before '95-'96, but Pippen had 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 TOs in a win against Houston(!) on Jan. 30, 1996. Only 5 assists, though, so it wasn't a quadruple double. ------------------
Yeah, but Francis pretty much does it every other night. ------------------ -------------- Did you know? Derrick Chievous sucked. It's true. -- from the ClutchCity.net "Did You Know" sidebar
Francis 3, that would hardly ever happen, just like fouls you would sit a while when you got 2 in the first, 4 in the third, or 5 anytime.
That's why I say trade Francis for Stromile Swift. That guy is not turning the ball over. How'd steve do against Kidd ? ------------------ "There are two players carrying the Rockets right now. Hakeem and Olajuwon." Isiah Thomas
