this is not the argument. we all know that an NBA player has the ability to hit a shot with .8 seconds, and the experiment of Kapono has nothing to do with the argument. there are determined circumstances when there is less than a second left. less than .3=tip in or alley oop more than .3- catch and shoot
this proves nothing. i watchd the play about 30x w/ a stop watch in hand and from the time roy catches and shoots, the least amount of time i got was .8 seconds........and up to .87, most consistently .84 so thats a no go for me
As per the league rules, some extra time is allowed for the natural delay it takes for the time keeper to start the clock. If he got the shot off in about 1.1 or 1.2 seconds, the NBA will probably allow it even on review.
