Same here. I don't really get much info of the plot of this from that trailer...yet it still looks interesting. Good stuff.
It's based on a book about a guy from the first Gulf War. I've heard some soldiers who were there say how amazingly accurate it looks, particularly the burning oilfields, but then there are others who hate the guy who wrote the book and say he lied about a lot of things. They writer got a little crazy over there, cried quite a bit, put a gun in his mouth, etc. I guess they feel that he tried to make it seem like all soldiers were like this and these guys are complaining saying that nobody makes John Wayne type war movies anymore, that everybody thinks all soldiers come back messed up in the head and what not. I haven't read the book, but I mean the guy is relating his personal experience, I don't think it means he's putting himself up as an example of what happens to all soldiers over there.
I am beginning to enjoy Jamie Foxx's work: a truly changed man into a dynamic actor. WOW. The Few, the PROUD. The MARINES.
