I Jared Jeffries the new Brian cook they both suck, they both rot on the bench, and they both are overpaid.
Jared Jeffries is unfairly maligned. He can take charges and change shots around the basket. This makes him > Cook. Cant make a layup worth a damn though.
Somewhat related to this.... I think the KnickGirl is pretty sexy and we should have gotten her instead of next years pick swap.
Jeffries knows he isn't that great of a shooter so doesn't shoot a lot. Cook thinks the offense runs through him when he is on the floor. Jeffries plays defense. Jeffries rebounds(more or less). Other than being towards the end of the bench, he is nothing like Cook.
Jeffries is like Cook is like Jackie Butler. It's the price that we paid in order to land Hill/Picks, Lowry, and Scola. It's worth it even if they are sitting on the pine.
bluffkin5686, You don't know basketball, so stop creating dumb thread. Jeffries is a hell of a defender. On the other hand, Brian Cook is the definition of a "garbage player." Jeffries play tenacious defense like Battier....that is why you see Adelman play him and put him in the game even during crunch time. I have no doubt he's going to get minutes BECAUSE OF HIS DEFENSIVE PROWESS ALONE!! Just like Chuck Hayes..he gets minutes...because defense wins GAMES!!
I think Jefferies is better than Chuck Hayes. They both only play defense and suck on offense, but Jared is way taller and has a little better offensive game. I think Jefferies will be Yao's back up center next year. Chuck Wagon is history, his contract is up and every time he gets the ball on offense, it's a turnover or a missed or blocked shot. Why is he still in the lineup?

Man I miss Brian Cook. That guy was having such breakout season and then in tmac fashion the stupid rockets exiled him for no reason. Jefferies is not as good as Cook, but a man can dream.
I really have to disagree. He is way better than Cook. At least Jared can play some defense and play like he actually wants to be out there.
This thread makes as much sense as this comment. He's just like Cook except he can do more things...... He's not a bad player, people have a hard time accepting him because he's overpaid. He's still a decent player though, and is nothing Cook.
