He kinda always was. My prediction for the fight: James Toney will begin the fight in his corner eating a bag of Big Macs. When he informs Hasim Rahman that he has no Big Macs in the bag for him, Rahman will have a nervous breakdown in the ring, will begin crying, and will quit. Good thing this one isn't on pay per view, eh?
Fat toney will counter punch fat rahman to death ,although i can also see rahman winning this one because rahman always have a hard time against movers and by the looks of toney i dont think his planning to move around that much
I think James Toney has a body type that will never allow him to look rock solid. the guy is just round.
Yup, his best days were at MW and Super MW. Speaking of Super MW - Calzaghe proved a lot of doubters wrong and DEMOLISHED Jeff Lacy on Saturday. He's obviously still the man at 168.
Me too. We really need a young up and comer a la Tyson back in the day. Without the ear fetish of course.
Would Rahman even have a career if it wasn't for British boy showing up to the fight as if he was merely an observer? Yup, I concur with MadMax, the heavyweight division has had better days. Oh, and as far as Tony being "fat", remember, "Mr. Grills" won it at the age of 55 and around 280 or more. A lucky punch can always win it for you. God I miss Ali/Tyson in their primes.
he was 45, and according to him, he has planned it all along. It wasn't a lucky punch at all. But who knows, he might be lying. Heavyweight does suck. They should start a separate weight class called the "OVER-weight". MOst of the fighters in the heavyweight division, they belong in the over-weight, not the heavyweight. Fortunately there are many exciting fighters at the other weight class. The other poster mention the recent Calzaghe v. Lacy. That was one heck of a performance by Joe. He really showed the art of boxing.
The weekend of March 18, HBO is actually having a free preview weekend, so this fight is going to get a huge rating. Watch it in high-definition is possible, it's something special.
