I was hoping this kid would be there after 20 but looks more and more like he won't. DrafteExpress has him at 26 but Chad Ford has im at 10. After watching North Carolina vs Kansas he may have been the best player in that game. He certainly ouplayed his teammates Barnes, Henson and Zeller. I said it in another thread it was a mistake not to find a way to keep McAdoo on the court more minutes.

I don't know if his stock moved up that much but clearly Coach Williams was not using him adequately during the season with Henson, Zeller and Barnes on the squad. One might even guess McAdoo was deliberately given little time so as to keep for a second year. No matter the kid has NBA offensive skills already. Has good size and great reach. He turned 19 this year and is still growing.

I hoped he would be available with our Dallas pick. But that looks very doubtful. So my next hope is he is available for a middle round selection.

like I said in the Barnes thread, this kid looks like a stud.

him coming out this year would definitely work to our favor, another year at UNC and he would be a lock for the top 5..

Unlike Henson and Barnes, McAdoo knows how to come to play night to night - none of the disappearing acts that plague those two. I hope he stays with Marshall, because those two will ROMP next season.

If Marshall, Zeller, Henson, Barnes, and McAdoo leave, Tarheels will be unwatchable next year - even their back up point (White) is going to be gone (Mormon mission work).

The freshmen recruits coming in aren't big blue chippers, except for a guard (Paige) that was at McDonald's.

Marshall should become a really good pro. Henson and Barnes carry a bit of bust potential with them. Barnes could be a nice Deng type SF. I think Henson's going to struggle. Zeller's Zeller. He'll be a fair back up big.

Zeller's too soft IMO to play center. But some team will probably reach and pick him up in the mid to late lottery and try to play him as a center.

I really hope the rockets aren't that team.

He needs to stay another year, work on his game, and boost his draft stock. Draft him right now and he's a project.

This usually means that they are going to stay another year.
