James Harrison is an idiot.

"If you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl," he told Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV. "So as far as I'm concerned he would have invited Arizona if they had won."

Uh... Right.

I think he's just trying to make a political statement, in a really stupid way.

 

For those of you in Austin, you've probably listened to Mike Rosenthal on 1530 am in the mornings. Rosie is a former OL for Minnesota and the Giants. He was saying just this morning that one of the first things he learned when he got to the NFL was just how incredibly stupid many of the players really are. This is a perfect example.

 

Wow, what an idiot.

It's not like Washington is trying to cash in on your success and get you to come sign autographs. It is YOUR (as in the Steelers) privilege to be invited.

 

I agree with him. I think the Texans should be getting their invite any day now.

 

The funniest part of this clip was the ESPN anchor's reaction. He just sits there, dumbfounded. Hilarious.

What a jackhole this player is. Yeah, it's really no big deal to get invited by the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, THE LEADER OF THE FREE-WORLD, THE MOST POWERFUL MAN ON THE PLANET, to be honored by him for your accomplishments. What a moran.

i got no problem with it. he's not impressed with an honor given to whoever happened to win. it's not his thing. no big deal. he certainly didn't come off as an idiot or moron to me.

The comment about inviting Arizona if they'd won makes it sound like he's unaware of the tradition. It's like he thinks he had this brilliant realization that the only reason they were invited to the White House was because they won the Super Bowl. Everyone else is just looking at him going "No ****, Sherlock".
