What are your thoughts on why the NBA has not a player of week the for last week? James Harden had the best all around numbers!

To really open up discussion, it would make sense to post Harden's and his competition's numbers for the week. How do you know Harden's numbers were the "best all around"?

    What was the Rockets record?

You do know they consider the teams record too when handing out these player of the weeks

I thought ESPN did give Harden Play of the Week. It was that one bad defensive play againt Toronto, right?

Assuming the week ran from 02/29 - 03/06, Harden averaged 35+/7/9+ and the Rockets went 2-2.

Leonard won the WC award with averages of 27/10/4+ in the Spurs 3 games (all wins).

It is a reasonable question from the OP.

Lillard lost three games last week against Detroit, Boston & Toronto. His only win was against the Knicks on 3/1/

    Harden"s stats: 35.25 points / 9.5 Assists/ 10.2 rebounds 2 wins & 2 losses
    Curry's stats: 25/4/5 1 win & 1 loss
    Lillard's stats: 31/4/4.5 1 win & 3 losses

It's just kind of ironic to me that no player was named last week. We all know the NBA and media dislike for James Harden and the Rockets!!!

So James Harden is a play now? Way to stereotype. ;)

Leonard won Player of the Week.

But to add to your skepticism regarding the media purposely ignoring Harden, he wasn't even nominated...lols.

He was also abused by Middleton and Butler, shot less than 33% from 3 and averaged over 5 turnovers per game

James Harden is still the A-1 Sauce Pourer of the Week, though.

He probably has a better chance of winning this week, if we go 3-1 on four away games.

When you score 35 or points, you're not the one that's getting abused!!!

Yep, though yesterday wasn't the greatest start. 29 points on 26 shots

5-9 turnovers that turn into 10-12 free points plus the non-existent defense that usually gives 25-30 free points. Yeah, he has to score 35 points or more to cover himself up.

    Abused by Butler?

Apparently you don't watch the games.

Ariza was guarding Butler for most of the game, not Harden In addition, Butler averages 22.4 pts/gm on .458 fg%. Against Houston he had 24 pts on .462 fg%.

That was an average game for Butler other than the fact that he had 5 turnovers and he also fouled out for the first time in his career.

35/7/9 on 63% TS is a great week.

I did watch the games, don't think you did.

Butler had 24 points on 13 shots. He played good D as is usual for him and was +28.

Harden was 10-26 with 9 turnovers, played terrible D of course and was -2.

I see why you used fg%. It's because Hardens ts% was .560 and Butler's was .656. Cherry pick much?
