I think Harden and McHale did their exit interviews a day after everyone. It just got uploaded on nba.com/Rockets.

Anyway, he mentioned twice in the interview that he's going to try to incorporate a post game this summer. With the style James plays, any changes to incorporate a post game will be really, really apparent. Something to look out for next season. With his strength and craftiness, I can see it being really effective.

Just a tidbit, the idea of hosting a get together this summer was something he took from his experience at OKC. He thought it helped them grow as a team so he's getting all of our guys together to play in California.

I really wish the team would have released a total list of the players who were doing exits to the public.

The Lakers gave the time and day of each player.

I wonder if Dmorey is doing one.

    Offense, Offense, More Offense.

Why doesn't he learn how to stick in front of the player he's guarding. He needs to put more effort on the defensive end if we want to start talking about winning here.

if he's gonna develop a post game, I imagine it will look like kobe's, which involves fadeaway jumpers. It's just hard for me to imagine that his post game is going to look like Lebron's, since he's a 6'4"-6'5" guy.

you wouldnt have to score as many point if you give up half as much as you usually do! Defense should be the #1 priority, also work on becoming a team leader. I mean Bev gets decked game 3 and the only person to step up and say that was wrong was Garcia?!?!

Harden was closer to having a mid-range game in the beginning of this season than he is now...that's what i hated about this offense. I think his development took a hit because of it.

No training camp with a whole new team.

    New focus of an offense

    Playing heavy minutes.

Yeah, I'm sure he had time in there to develop a mid-range game

Harden needs to invite the Dream to LA and help coach the players that show up to the get together.

Sounds good, but his defense needs to be priority one. It was just awful at times. He'll get it but hopefully sooner than later.

Interesting enough, I read on a Lakers forum that Kobe makes more points per possession on post ups than anyone in the league.

With his strength, he should be able to get good positioning, and with his craftiness, I expect some nice footwork. I hope he see's Hakeem like fallenphoenix mentioned. Get that work in earlier than Kobe and LeBron did in their careers.

I didnt say i expected him to perfect an MJ turnaround fadeaway by now.

And I'm sure it took the whole season to learn:

    Wait for the pick, then

    A) jack up a three
    or
    B) drive
    or
    C) forget pick and iso.

He was closer to having one early on because he actually used it. Using it over the course of a season, in a primary role, would have improved it through experience alone. He could have gone into this off season with a better idea of what failed and worked in the mid range game. Instead, he has to go with a more general approach, so he's not as clear on what would have worked and how. Even one off season won't be enough to develop it, but he would have should have been further along, that's for sure.

Good. That will make his drives to the basket more effective. Plus, in the 4th quarter (especially in the playoffs), when teams shut down the penetration, as well as the 3-pointer, he'll have more ways of scoring. In order to be the best, you must always look for ways to improve.
