Well, at least that's better than - "man, you know, we played well, man. You know, man. Man, the other team, man, they came out and competed, you know, but we were just on tonight, man. You know, man?"
Don't forget " I just tried to be agressive"..... I hate that dumb ass response... When are you not supposed to be aggressive?
Trying to take away anything from a player's interview is pretty pointless. These guys try so hard not to A) say anything that will get them in trouble with the league B) say something that will be misconstrued later as a slight to their opponent C) come off looking arrogant or douchey. By the end of it, canned responses are all you're left with.
Sounds like an evolution of McFails play harder. Everyone can think they play harder but also playing smarter under pressure is playing at a high level
Jeremy Lin trying to beat everyone down the court for his botched layup instead of dribbling down the clock comes to mind.
