I would think this means Orlando either wants a backup to Francis, or they made the pick for Houston and he will become part of the trade.

It means Nelson might be coming to the Rockets as part of the deal, I HOPE.

This doesnt sound good. Why do they trade for him if Francis is coming in? Does that mean Orlando would want to move him?

    I am confused.

What is scary is that the package of players that Phoenix is offering does NOT include a PG, so if Orlando made that trade with Phoenix they would need a PG...they just got one in the draft. :(

It means that the Magic are going to trade Steve Francis (after they trade TMAC :) ) and start the rebuilding process with Howard, Nelson, and whomever else wants to tag along.

Well, If we get Lue... this means they will need a back up for Steve?

I think this means one of two things:

    1. The Magic have given up on the Rockets deal and will make a trade with Phoenix by using Nelson to sweeten the pot to pry Johnson out of their hands or to use Nelson as their starter and make other arrangements in a trade with PHO

    OR

    2. The Magic make the deal with Houston and ALREADY have a trade set to ship Francis out of Orlando and instead start Nelson.

Either way, Nelson is NOT a backup. This guy has game (regardless his size) and will start from day one in the NBA!

Above all... I think it means Orlando already knows what they want to do with McGrady and Francis.

Regardless, having watched Jameer all season I'd love to see him included in the package here

they would need a SG if they lose McGrady. Orlando could be building a badass team

That would probably be the shortest backcourt in decades. Doubtful.
