Jalen had a decent game tonight though he still has no clue how to do anything other than look for his own shot. DD
As opposed to Cam, who you keep saying is better and should immediately replace him? Just be consistent.
Likely because the players who are usually the focus of the offense not performing means he gets more focus in the gameplan.
Meanwhile, Jalen Green fans are on the top of the world. They love nothing more than when their favorite palyer has a solid game on offense while the Rockets get completely blown out.
There is no one Green hater.. no one.. We are all Rockets fans and we have eyes, we watch games. Jalen’s problem is Hard to solve, he does not know how to play structured basketball. These young American, Z Generation players main problem is they are not trained basketball fundamentals, when ever a kid in a college team shows athleticism, dunking, jumping, they believe that they are new MJ, Kobe, Allen lverson or T-Mac. Thats why NBA's best players are European players right now, this is a common problem for draft choices, they chose players in lottery for looking at raw athleticism, but knows nothing about structured, real basketball. Green may score 50 points in consecutive 10 games and this does not change reality, low baskeball iq and fundamental deficiencies. He is young and l belive that he will have a very important place in this team, but as a role player.. This is not bad, we just need to be realistic about this player. He may help this team, but his problem is more mental and fundamental, it is not about physical, his playing style of İSO scorer does not bring anything if you are not James Harden and he is not.
Nice try. They showed a stat during the Detroit game telecast that showed the Rockets have won more games with Jalen as the leading scorer than any other player. Like, several more games. I was surprised at the difference. That said, last year he was driving into players and finishing pretty well, usually getting foul calls when he didn't get a bucket. This year he seems to be avoiding contact and consequently not getting any points at all on a big % of his drives. I'd love to know what happened to explain that change.
I'm not a Jalen Green hater, but I think Jalen can never be number 1, not in Houston, not in any team, because he plays street basketball, is winning important for him? I don't think so, would he accept being the 2nd or 3rd man? I don't think he will do that either. He is very young and I am sure he will learn to play basketball, but will Houston sacrifice years for this? We'll see
Not accurate from what I saw, having watched literally every single game he has played in the Rockets jersey and all the interviews he had since. Other points are also pending. You can clearly see he does not have the fastest processor in the business however does not mean it wont click at some point. Several examples out there for late bloomer guards. Maybe not a given that he will flourish but you can not definitively conclude otherwise either.
Stephen Curry getting benched, struggling, almost ending his career with his ankle injuries, surgeries on his broken ankle. As a young player.
Can't deny his talent offensively, it's a question of whether he will find consistency in his jump shot and be able to uptick his decision making/playmaking.
Mike D'Antoni and Rick Adelman are the only ones that can Coach this Team. Playing 5 Out is the Front Office Goal. Jalen Green and Jabari Smith would be more used more for Playing Making and Shooting more 3s. Play Smaller and Faster, Play 5 Out PG Fred VanVleet, Amen Thompson SG Jalen Green SF Cam Whitmore PF Dillon Brooks, Tari Eason C Jabari Smith Play Less Alperen Sengun sadly because he isn't developed as a 3 Point Shooter, Plays Slow, Alperen Sengun in the Paint is blocking the Driving Lane for Layups by the Rockets Guards and Forwards, by Sengun Center Defender.
How about Amen? He's less than a year younger than Jalen and years behind him in development (which Amen needs insane development to even get to Green's level.)
