It's so crazy, they would rather we say: - Jalen has sucked and there's nothing positive to reflect on but there's a chance! Than: - Jalen has been bad but X, Y and Z detail shows promise for his upcoming season! Ironically, they are the most optimistic fans of Jalen in the world. Nothing positive to highlight about his 3 seasons but there is still a chance. What's more optimistic than that? They're just hedging their bets to cover their asses. Where? There's not one single poster who said efficiency doesn't matter. What you might be reading is bad efficiency now doesn't necessarily mean bad efficiency later. They could be saying that if his backup had to take over Jalen's drives to the basket their efficiency would be worse. They could be saying he can have an off night of shooting if his defense, free throws and passing increased. They could be saying other players his age who went on to become stars were similarly inefficient at the same age. These are all things I've read. No one is saying efficiency just doesn't matter. No one is saying he shot efficiently the past few seasons. If there is, it's literally 1 out of dozens of Jalen fans and you're holding everyone guilty by association to a moron. Has nothing to do with the people who see a bright future for him.
well if you talk about efficiency then you are not part of the cult then but efficiency is efficiency. he's one the most inefficient shooters on the team. he's bad efficiency has stayed the same for 3 years. you try to compare him to other guys. who has shot around 7.5 3FGAs a game and made just around 1/3rd of them every year for their first 3 years? just like you said he needs to drastically improve his shot making, shot selection, and self-awareness. most people just think its just not that easy.
He is under the mantle of 'levelheadedness' but passive aggressively holds a candle for Green. Cult in name but a bunch of a people who just love to talk the talk. The way I see it, Green is just another high maintenance scorer who refused to come off the bench and is surely not worth 260 pages.

That hasn't been the point at all - Never. 43 games of .175 with 12 of those .000 Vs 27 games of .508 The point about his shooting is that the variation so wild. There's either really good or absolutely terrible - only 3 games all season of between .333 and .400. 51% of the season shooting .175 is hardly incidental.
This is a good example of why this thread keeps going despite nothing happening. A dishonest cultist attempts to downplay how pathetic their guy is at shooting a basketball and makes it seem like it's no big deal to go from a bottom of the league shooter to where we'd need a SG to be. Then a normal person has to call out the dishonesty. I'm sure the next step is either excuses by the cultists or calling math a "jater" for portraying their deity as a below average nba player.
There is this notion that if Jalen just hit a few more 3s per week, his percentage would shoot up, as if a few makes per week was nothing. There is also the notion that Jalen's ability to create shots trumps his inefficiency. This is clearly a brush off of the efficiency deficiency. These are just on top of my head the most common "Jalen stans" arguments. which are quite prevalent. Yeah, they don't say "efficiency doesn't matter" in those exact words. But the intent and what they imply are clear as daylight. You've been here long enough to understand that.
