If any of y'all are up for doing a careful assessment of Green's defense and whether it's improving, I'd love to read that. If you have illustrative videos, even better.

I'm constantly watching game highlights, which show our makes and our opponents' makes (including when Green or Smith or whoever blows an assignment) but don't show what I really want to see: possessions where the opponent didn't score because of our defense.

 

I would love to see more of this type of content on CF.

I wish I knew how to make videos - like what software do I need in order to be watching my NBA League Pass, and then be able to take clips from that and create a highlights reel?

If I knew how to do that.... no one would be claiming Jalen Green is a much improved defender.

Sorry, yes he's improved from the worst defender in the league to just stacked in a group with other worst defenders now.

But hey I suppose we're talking about Jalen Green here. Minimal improvement seems drastic when he's that bad.

 

He’s a bad defender. He might have improved for being uber bad to just being bad. But he’s not a good defender and nowhere in the vicinity of being a difference maker on the defensive end. He’s a make or miss player. If the shot isn’t falling he offers nearly nothing else.

 

He's vastly improved on defense, no question. But, that's the least of his issues right now.

 

If you are interested in Editing.......Premiere for PC, Final Cut Pro for Apple should work..... (for Professionals there is AVID and stuff but that is likely not for you)

You probably have to download Tutorials and Manuals to self teach and self learn.

I am too lazy and lead a family life, so I do not have that much time other than chopped up bits here and there.

I forgot of how League Pass worked and if you can download their footage on your operating system.....

There are metrics for it. Defensive rating is a good one to start with. He’s a below average defender. He’s terrible at rotating to help when he’s already only asked to guard the other teams’ least threat on the offensive end. He’s not good on the defensive end. He’s below average at best.

Can you actually provide evidence why he's a good defender?
