even when he was the supposed #1 pick a couple of years ago, I didn't find him impressive at all. He is still very raw and if anything, Andrew Luck was a better quarterback than him that year.
Unless he shows some semblance of accuracy in the combines and other try outs, he could be looking at worse than the 3rd round.
He didn't live up to his "talent" but I still think he will be a 2nd rounder. He has a huge arm and runs very well for a QB. They are many teams in the league with QB issues so I think somebody will take a chance on him and draft him in the first 2 rounds.
Locker has been wildly overrated his entire Washington career. He has all kinds of physical tools, but he is incredibly raw and ultimately, what did he win at UW? All that being said, I don't think he'll slip all the way to the third round. He is a very talented guy, no doubt. It only takes one team to fall in love with him at the combine to take him high. Locker is also the type of guy that kills workouts like the ones at the combine, so I wouldn't put it past him to slip back into the first round.
Todd McShay has Jake Locker ranked #1 overall right now, and Von Miller ranked #2. I can't believe these people get paid to do this.
yeah but people convinced themselves to take the bradford risk because the dropoff was so big to the next QB. With Locker, they'd have let the brardford injury play into their thoughts (there was a ton of speculation about that leading up to the draft remember) and taken locker as the 1st qb
Dude, what are you talking about? you got your information all wrong. http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft look on the right side, those are Todd Mcshay's rankings. No way in hell he would ever have Locker #1 overall. He's been saying Blaine Gabbert is better than Locker the whole time.
Ranked is different from where they think they're getting drafted. In other words, he thinks Locker is the best player in the draft.
He likes Locker ALOT, but I don't think he thinks Locker is the best player in the draft. Locker did hurt himself not coming out last season though..this is what some scouts are saying. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/28/jake-locker-is-a-polarizing-figure/
McShay has just recently backed off of Locker's dick, he was claiming him to be the best player for months
Is Todd McShay the biggest joke of a 'draft expert' out there? "...He comes across like he knows what he's talking about....but knows nothing"
I agree with McShay. When he first started being on ESPN I was like who the heck is this guy and what qualifications does he have to be talking about draft prospects? I rarely take what McShay says seriously. I think of it as an opinion, same as my friend or myself analyzing draft picks.
Isn't that case will all these "draft experts"? Or these radio hosts who act like they know more than everybody else.
Well then Sportscenter yesterday needs to apologize to McShay, cause they had a nice big shiny infographic with Locker 1 and Miller 2.
