I would trade Jalen Green for Jalen Brown.

If the return is Brown they should drive Green to the airport right now

 

If the Bulls had traded MJ his rookie season (where Green is now) for Dominique Wilkins,
the Hawks would have 6 championships.

If we get Victor in the draft, and Harden comes via free agency, I would be okay with trading Green for Brown.

Otherwise, no.

Jalen Brown by himself won't be enough to get us anywhere. Rather just play it out with Green and let the kids mature together.

I don't approve of this. Doesn't make sense. Have him come over next year and we don't lose tons of hard earned assets

Trading Jalen for Jaylen will help Boston way more than it does for Houston, and to keep kpj over green would be such bad decision, dude can score from everywhere , just give him structure, superstars aren't made in 2 years , giving up now to get Jaylen Brown and old harden and watch brown not resign after , ..just terrible planning you try to pair up green and brown not swap

 

Fischer reported that Nets would not engage with Suns in a KD trade unless Booker was on the table when it's literally against the CBA rules for Booker to be traded for KD.

 

Jaylen Brown will be an UFA in 2024. We have tons of cap space. If he demands a trade before then, the Celtics have no leverage to demand Jalen or Jabari or even the top pick wherever we land. The most realistic scenario would unfortunately for some and fortunately for others involve the middling young guys like KPJ, KjM, Tari, TyTy centered around Alpi and the Clippers pick. That would still piss off most of this board, but it's at least more realistic than Jalen Green for a potential 1 year rental. GTFOH.

 

Nobody on the roster is untouchable.

Green is a high upside prospect who might or might not ever be as good as Jalen Brown.

But if you have an opportunity to immediately contend by adding Harden + Brown + another star level talent, at the expense of 2 or 3 of our premiere assets, its certainly a reasonable course of action.

Jabari
Siakim

This could be a contending team in the short term. Harden will decline, but Brown and Siakim could be core pieces around Harden in the short term AND Jabari + Whomever we draft this year, down the line.

 

Bro, these three years are an absolute joke if we trade Jalen. It just shows me this franchise is committed to cutting corners and being mediocre.

 

We just want to bring in some contrasting pieces

Green brings more value than KPJ and KPJ is a better player right now, they are similar in age, if you have to trade one you trade the one that brings the most back.....and keep the cheaper like skilled player.

Doesn't mean it will for sure happen but been saying this since we drafted Green and been ridiculed for it.

And to add to that. I would love Jaylen. Nice 2 way player. Jalen will be outscoring him probably as soon as next season and has room to grow both in body and defensive ability. Maybe he never becomes a good defensive player, but I'd much rather have Jalen + a defensive 3 and D PG than just Jaylen under a huge contract resigning minus Jalen with his rookie contract and whatever else we'd stupidly trade away.

 

KPJ got better last season.
Sengun got better better last season.
Jalen Green got worse last season.

I think the Celtics value Jabari Smith on the roster more than anyone.
