Saw this injury and was bummed that an up and coming star was hurt, but this news is the best news....the Fibula is a small non-weight bearing bone that runs down the back of your leg. He had surgery, but this should heal is 6-8 weeks and he should be fine. So, bad news, but good news overall. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/43260056/sources-pistons-jaden-ivey-broken-fibula-left-leg DD
Could have been worse. I don't have a fully developed fibula in one leg...and I still play tennis. He'll be fine.
non-hereditary birth defect congenital pseudarthrosis (crus curvatum congenitum) doctors told my parents I would never be able to walk when I was a week old had many surgeries growing up spent half of my childhood on crutches am grateful to still be able to walk and practice sports
****ing hell I did not need to go down that Google Image search rabbit hole for a minute. Sorry that you dealt with this as a child, compadre. Childhood should be sacrosanct with halcyon memories. Glad you came out the other side.
lol if you really want to knock yourself out, you can image google "fixateur externe" tibia after I finished growing, I had one of these in my leg for a year to extend it and get it to the same length as the other - extended it by almost 2 1/2 inches gruesome ****
