While watching NFL Network the little scrolling thing at the bottom said that Jacoby Jones was the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

    Congrats to him.

awesome. He still makes me nervous when he is about to catch the ball on returns.

Guarantee you he wouldn't have gotten STPotW had we not recovered his dropped punt.

He's a fantastic athlete, but coaches would rather have consistency than his amazing/abhorrent display he often shows.

More often then not, he catches the ball so there is consistency, it is just that as the game wears on, he gets either excited, tired or whatever and is prone to make mistakes. Young players have this issue and despite this being his third year in the NFL, JJ is still pretty young.

More often than not may qualify for technical consistency, but thats not good enough and we got bailed out against the Titans. Bobbling once per game is damn scary, and if Kubiak doesn't watch Kris Brown when he kicks FGs then I'm sure he doesn't watch when JJ fields kicks/punts.

He has taken to the WR position pretty well, and he's shown more than enough talent to be the 4th or 5th option.

Good stuff. Hopefully he can eventually develop into a really good #2 or #3 WR. Right now, I'll take his punt return skills.

By the way, what happened to Andre Davis? That dude was solid for us last year.

If you can't figure out how not to be "excited, tired, or whatever" causing massive mistakes on the field by your 3rd year...it's not gonna happen. most likely.
