I mean I'll definitely give credit to the coaching staff for Green's defensive leap. Not so much any offensive progression though one could say that the cardio conditioning training the coaching staff has done for Green to exert high level of defense and still have the legs underneath him to have high usage on offense definitely helps his offensive game in the long run.

Is no one going to bring up that nifty cross over and pull up jumper Bari did against the Spurs? He needs to do more of that. That looked smooth and effortless

I would agree. Wouldn't you say there has been some development on offense from Jalen that is independent of the coaching staff's actions?

His shot is much improved, he is less sped up, which has allowed Jalen to make better decisions, and he appears to be taking contact better and thus finishing around the rim more efficiently.

I have had serious doubts about Jalen, but there áre clear signs he is making significant progress forward. Time will tell if Jalen remains consistant.

Jabari is slowly getting more comfortable on the court in all facets, but I think he needs to get more plays run in isolations or post ups where he can turn and shoot the middy over shorter defenders more than 3-4 times per game. He's being utilized like some role player who does the small things pretty well (which he does) and occasionally gets an open shot off someone else's penetration, but he's the #3 pick. I like Jabari, but man what could've been, if Orlando had picked Jabari and we had gotten Banchero. Banchero and Jalen....

    Now Banchero and Jalen Suggs.

With Hawks it would have been Banchero and Jalen Johnson.

He'd end up with at least 1 Jalen.

Jabari's not too bad but he's got a good potential to be a player like if you mold Bowen and Rodman. He just needs to be fiercer in the defense and shoot better. There's no need to be like Chet or Banchero. Bari should just polish what he has and he'll be dominant. I don't agree on him having isolations as he's not a good ball handler. However, he has a potential to be a good shooter. I'd love for JG to have his Rodman/Pippen and Bari's got the tools to be one.

Sorry, I meant isolation more like getting him the ball at the elbow and letting him shoot over his defender. Isolation is probably the wrong term. More like feeding him in the midrange and just letting him take the shot, maybe a little crossover shake like he did against the Spurs from about 10 feet. He definitely doesn't have the handle to do too much more than that (yet)

I think that could potentially happen more often down the line with Reed Sheppard.

lol because he scored 23 points in their first season win? This board's definition of "star" is all over the place.

Jaden Ivey is a glorified Josh Christopher.

That's kinda sad on Ivy's part given how many players who deserve the ball in their hands more in each respective team. Don't really know who deserves the ball in their hands more on that Pistons roster outside of Cade.

With Bari... FVV, Sengun, Green, arguably Amen are all higher in the pecking order for on ball reps.

So Bari has far less opportunities to score 20+

Ivy was drafted to a tanking team as a scoring guard. That is a recipe for putting up a lot of pts relative to your age. But he can't even get up more 20 pt games than Bari a off ball role player who plays behind a lot more talent in the pecking order and isn't tanking.

Anyone satisfied with his start so far is just not demanding enough from a 3rd overall pick.

Ivey has a lot more than 17 20+ point games though.
    20-29 pt games: 28 (13 in 22-23, 13 in 23-24, 2 in 24-25)
    30+ pts games: 7 (3 in 22-23, 4 in 23-24)

Not as good as Jalen Green, but still not 17.

Well, that's what I get for being lazy and relying on Google rather than StatMuse.

I'm dead serious when I say that the Jabari pick set our franchise back tremendously. Look at what someone like Chet can do for a franchise and then we have this dude who's an anchor. We'll never win anything if he's on this team.

His brother was the 2nd pick on the Kings. They will have the same type of career.

That's not his brother lol. His actual cousin though is Kwame Brown. His father was a bum too.

We would be lucky if he even became Marvin Bagley Jr.
