Ja Morant a possible trade target for Houston this offseason?

Awesome talent, but massive injury risk and extremely poor fit.

 

Elite talent. Would definitely kick the tires and inquire.

 

Morant, Amen, and Sengun would be a weird fit, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not intrigued.

Good for the Rockets to just be included in rumors......the league is out of control with their expansion and exodus to new ventures and places.

Small markets should be encouraged and not plundered.....

 

The Grizzlies would be selling low by trading him in the near future. Not a great outside shooter... so the fit here is in question. I don't see it happening.

 

His 3pt shooting is worse than Jalen Green's. But he's a much smarter playmaker and penetrator.

The Grizzlies know everything about him, which includes lots of stuff that isn't made public. Considering his injury and character issues, I'm not as surprised as many seem to be.

 

Unlike Jalen, Ja can actually beat people off the dribble on a regular basis and he's basically impossible to stay in front of.

 

His dad is also a menace on the sidelines.

I wouldn't be surprised at a Ja Morant trade. Memphis often plays well without him, which is good because he's often injured, so they could make out well in dealing him.

But trading Ja to Houston? Same division? Poor outside shot?

 

I’d trade a lot for JJJ or Morant.

 

and the Mavs knew everything about Luka…Ja isn’t on Luka’s level, but the Grizzlies are a small market team that does not get free agents and they are not replacing Ja’s production or star power in any trade…they drastically lower the team’s ceiling

JJJr has 1 year left on his deal as well…Is a Ja-less Memphis team gonna be more likely to help entice him to stay?

 

On the Luka trade .... we all know on the surface, it may have been the worst trade in history.

But .... Miriam Adelson the new owner wants to move the team to Las Vegas and got push back from the league - Dallas South Oklahoma loves their Mavericks and they are fresh off of a finals appearance & they sell out almost every game - including the longest consecutive streak in the league's history.

Dump your star, suck for a couple years, attendance goes to shiit .... maybe you convince the league to allow the move, in the mean time collect draft picks .....
