Let's face it: while not a certainty, odds are better that Iverson will lead to a clash than a ring wherever he goes. Out of the potential suitors, which would most likely end in a train wreck? Not all teams mentioned are very likely to get AI. Kings and Artest have left the bidding. Evan
I'm guessing you don't like Iverson. anyhow, I think the worst is pierce, but I'm not a big pierce fan. pierce or davis toss up.
I do, actually - I was growing up in Hampton Roads when he was and think he suffers from a terribly unfair rep. I think he's a lock HOFer and one of the most amazing talents to come around in any era. He loves his teammates more than most. His game just doesn't mesh well with other shooters and I don't think you can simply insert him on any random team like you could LeBron or Garnett. He's a guy that you have to build around. Evan
Iverson and anybody is a bad combination. He's actually played his best when he didn't have a good supporting cast.
IMHO Iverson and Kobe would work out great if they change the rule to play with two basketballs at the same time.
AI and Kobe would be the worst. Been keeping up with some Sixer boards and their Doc Rockets are saying that he's going to Denver for Andre Miller and fillers. I can see that working out even with Carmelo and Smith because all their bigs are great defenders and especially great rebounders. They're going to score a ton and have a good enough interior defense to challenge Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, and the Rockets if we can ever stay healthy! And Utah I guess..
All have been reported to have at least sent offers or expressed interest. Didn't include Minny, Bobcats, or Kings since the fat lady has sung at each of those cities, according to reports. Evan
AI + Kobe would be the worst. The best possible combo would be AI + Artest with the runner up being AI + Carmelo. Not for any basketball reasons, but just because I want to see what kind of trouble those guys can get in together.
Man, Billy King is really an idiot. You don't have to be an Iverson fan to see that what Philly is doing is a huge mistake. Like him or not, Iverson is one of the best guards of all time, and he is still pretty much in his prime. This is going to be just like the Barkley trade for them. All I have to say is Hornacek, Lang, and Perry...
The Allen Iverson-Baron Davis pairing is the worst. They both play the same position (shooting point guard) and neither one would give up the ball. Both shoot horrible percentages and are turnover prone. It would be a nightmare for the Warriors.
This kind of reminds of when Dominique left Atlanta, he wasn't the same player anymore in his quest for a ring outside the Hawks.
anyone else hoping the knicks trade Qrich, crawford, and frye for AI? curry-lee jeffries-balkman steve AI marbury-nate we can only hope.
