I've never seen so much back and forth where outlets and experts are contradicting one another. Check it out:

(NY Post) Warriors are hot, but ONLY as a third party trying to dump Murphy, Foyle, or Dunleavy, NOT to get AI.
(Boston Globe) Warriors are offering Davis for AI
(NY Daily News) Warriors want to put AI and Baron together

(Boston Herald) Clippers are strongly rumored to be offering Livingston/Maggette
(NY Post) Anyone saying Livingston could be offered is FOS

(Marc Stein) Dallas is not interested
(Philly Inquirer) Dallas is in the mix offering Autin Croshere

(Providence Journal, Newsday) Celtics are offering a Ratliff and Jefferson package (plus others)
(ESPN, NY Post) The Celtics are not willing to move Jefferson

I've never seen the back and forth this bad before. NO ONE has a clue what's going on, which makes it unbelievable that it might all go down any time soon.

Officially out of the running (supposedly): SA, Utah, Bulls, NYK, Det, Atl, NJ, Orlando.

    Evan

Somehow not interested but in the mix: Dallas and Denver

Philly would have to be idiots to give up AI for Austin Croshere, unless it includes numerous draft picks. Even then, they are unlikely to be high picks.

If Livingston/Maggette are on the table I would do that trade.

Yea my guess was Bibby, Corliss Williamson (expiring contract) and draft pick(s). The Sixers may also want the Kings to take on another bad contract like Dalambert's so the Kings will just have to tack on more expiring contracts. (they have a lot of those)

And no one in the media is talking much about Sacramento... AI to the West is fine with me as long as he doesn't end up on the Wolves or Mavericks.

There is no way that the Clips are giving up Livingston.

And as far as Baron Davis. There is no way that Nelson wants to see Davis and AI together. They will try to send out Baron in an AI deal.

If Minny offers Foye amongst a collection of other contracts and manages to turn one or more of those contracts into expiring deals through a third team, Philly should take it and run. Foye has the most upside of anyone that could possibly be on the table. Even more upside than Atlanta if they came to bargain with Marvin Williams and Speedy Claxton.

Ric Bucher is - he called them his 'gut favorite' this morning on Mike & Mike. In fact, the two teams I've most often heard as frontrunners are the Kings and Warriors.

how was s.a. ever considered to be in the a.i. sweepstakes?

who could they have traded for him? manu?

parker would have to be involved - there is no way they could run those two together. but even so, why would they want to mess up what they have going?

Ahh... I figured you mentioned all of them.

Anyway, seems like people are downplaying an Iverson trade. Even though people are down on AI, I think it can change the face of the league and make a few teams big time contenders. Imagine him on the Bulls, they finally get a legit go-to guy. Two elite players on one team if he goes to the Wolves or Mavericks. You can draw a lot of parallels with McGrady's situation in Orlando and the impact he made on the Rockets and the Western Conference.

Nah, just the ones were there was completely contradictory information being put out in print. Skipped over all the over-air stuff (ESPN experts are giving varied takes as well) and skipped over all the general trade information I have heard (would be at least 4 huge posts long). Threw in the "for sure" not in the game teams as well (teams were an official has flatly and clearly laid it out that they aren't going to even try).

Wow a bibby deal really seems like it might have legs. It may sound stupid but sometimes its good to get a really solid player even if you may end up giveing someting of greater value to get it.
AI is clearly better then bibby, the sixers may not be geting equal value but they are geting value back.
Bibby is the kind of point gaurd that could really bring out the best in guys like Iggy and Kyle and he and chris weber do have a histroy of playing well together.

The warriors would be a good choice. Even with AI, they might still be a lottery bound team in the West, due to a weak frontcourt. They could get some lotto draft picks from the Warriors. The Celtics would be a contender with Iverson in the weak east. No good lotto picks for trade. They don't need to receive anybody good. They are tanking the rest of the season for Oden.

Who knows...I think a fresh start is what he needs, but you need the right coach...That's a tough one...

Please, God, don't let him go to the Mavericks for expiring contracts. Please don't let that happen!

*cringes at the thought of Iverson running and gunning along side of Nowitski, Terry and Howard*

Plus, I like AI. I met him once and he was a nice enough guy. If he went to the Mavericks, I'd HAVE to hate him. I don't want to. Please, God, anybody but the Mavericks.

I'd actually like to see him go to Utah just because how hilarious would Allen Iverson in Salt Lake City be? It'd be like Snoop Dogg moving there or something.

Iverson to the Kings means Kevin Martin can erase all of hope of that Most Improved Player Award. Unless he's part of the deal. :D
