Follow up... http://www.sportando.net/eng/europe..._the_rumors_on_his_unhappiness_in_turkey.html Iverson denies the rumors on his unhappiness in Turkey After the rumors on his unhappiness in Istanbul, Allen Iverson via Twitter wrote he his happy in Turkey and he is enjoying his new experience in Europe. "What's up everybody? I want all of yall to know that I am very happy here in Istanbul. My family and I are making this our home. The fans and my Teammates here are great, and we are building good chemisty. For those of you who really care about be just know this, I am very pleased and I am enjoying this ride! God Bless."
Despite his financial problems, I didn't think AI would last long in Turkey. Not a good fit. Actually, nothing is a good fit for AI right now. But he needs the money. How does it end?
Istanbul is an absolutely awesome city. If he can't have fun there, then he has some serious thrill issues.
I rather play in China than in Turkey.. well at least if you can get on a team in one of the major modern cities.
this is funny. europe washed up soccer(football) players come here to play. washed up nba players go over there to play
i have.. its a gorgeous city.. just do a google image search http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=instanbul&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1280&bih=702 thats the one thing with a lot of americans .. they always think other parts of the world live in caves and mud houses. of course turkey and even in Instanbul has its poor crappy regions though
Ooh, I've been and I agree with everything you said. Pieman's post has me curious as to why he thinks I was joking about Istanbul being awesome.
I don't know about you, but I cannot find another city in the world with more History, culture and religion in a more beautiful mix than Istanbul.. And I've never been there either
Add gorgeous women, amazing place to party, close proximity to beautiful beaches and a million other things to do to your list.
Istanbul is beautiful! Historic and modern architectures, European and Asian harbors all just in a glance. It's a quiet place yet exciting! I don't think any basketball city in China can compare (Hong Kong is not in CBA). But maybe the enthusiastic fans and the "I was here to see it rise" factor were attractive. They sure get to be stars though, as opposed to the euro-team ball 'crap'. Maybe that's the biggest draw.
I lived in SF for 16 years, it's lovely. However, I still don't understand why America has so many crappy cities. As tourist spots, most cities fail outright, save a few... this is compared to what Europe, Asia, even Latin America have to offer... I'm still baffled For instance, cities around the world have much better infrastructure and public transports.. etc...
