Watching a live interview of Allen Iverson right now. The man has some problems. He is gettin all annoyed because reporters are asking him about missing practice. The r****d actually said "Me practicing is suppose to make my teammates better? I mean they suppose to be used to playing without me anyways"! He is sounding like a ture whiner that he is. He is talking about how he "doesn't want to go through this". Meaning talking to reporters about losing. HEY JACKASS YOU HAVE TO ANSWER TO THE FANS WHEN YOU LOSE IN THE FIRST ROUND! Get used to it you little b****, your ballhogging ass is hopefully going to go out in the first round many many times. The man is seriously delusional. I wish you guys could hear this interview.
He is saying he is tired of being criticized (aawwwwww....poor baby! ) and that it is unfair. He is saying that he does not criticize the reporters asking these questions, so how come they criticize him? What a dumbass. Then he says that he knows the reporters are doing their job. Keeps on mentioning how he is the "MVP of the league and he aint gotta take this ****". GOD I HATE HIM!
A reporter tells him about shooting 43-44% instead of 38%. Iverson says that he doesnt know if that will make him a better player. He says its in Gods hand what his field goal percentage is. Ummm....pardon my ignorance, but its not God shooting 30-35 times per game. He then actually tells the reporter who asked the question if he has ever played basketball. When the reporter says "yes", Iverson says that he has never heard of this reporter as a basketball player and so his question is stupid. Every other word out of his mouth is how he is the "MVP". How he is one of us and is tired of criticism.
i posted about it first. dammit i shoulda titled my thread better. at least put iverson in the title you dumbass. actually i was more on iverson's side than anything. wasn't really sure where he was going with the not practicing thing (and he must've said "we talkin' bout practice 8 times in a row at one point) but he did have a point on some things. i mean technically nothing different is happening to him than other superstars but most of it is bull**** on the media's part just trying to create something. didn't wilt chamberlain even one time say he would either be at the shootaround or the game when the coach told him he had to show up to the practice. and if the team isn't winning it doesn't seem to be iverson's fault outside of not being the best shooter.
The dude contradicts himself every other second. He says that individual awards (All Star selection, MVP, Scoring Titles) mean nothing to him. Then the very next thing he mentions is that he has nothing more to accomplish cause he has "all star beths, scoring titles". Of course he also mentions how he "does not have a selfish bone in his body". If you all thought Ken Griffey was whiney, you havent seen anything.
He is not the most articulate athlete around. Wonder what his grades were like in college. Ivy does play every game like its his last. You can't fault him for lack of effort. Was Iverson guarding Paul Pierce? It is not his fault they lost the series to Boston. For him to take the fall is not right. Who else on that team do you want taking shots? Harpring? Snow? They are a bad team with a great player. Put Iverson on a good team and I bet he doesn't shoot as much, his assists will increase.
Why even pretend he went to college? It sounds like everyone is jumping off of the short lived AI bandwagon. Now maybe the media will stop talking about how "Iverson hasn't changed (to become more popular/accepted), mainstream has just finally caught up with him." Lol...
BobFinn great basketball analogy that was pure knowledge you are right on dude! Mainstream America turn on IVY right after a year kissing his a**. Think About Think About
I think the official and technical term for that is a "Bushism." If the prez can fumble words all the time, why can't Allen do it too?
Good for Ivy! It's nice to see a little honesty, rather than previously formulated answers to the press.
