Even though i made a promise to boycott the Allstar game, I sneaked a peak at the 4th quarter, and well worth it. Iverson was all over the place. Thankfully for him, he didn't have Steve Francis man-marking him, or else we would be seeing the MVP trophy coming back to a certain Houston house. ------------------ Do not harm little children!
There's lots of talk about this in NBA Dish, where it belongs. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Yea, but i put it here because I wanted to see what you guys had to say about Francis being a better player than Iverson, especially after last week's game. ------------------ Do not harm little children!
lived, I have recently changed something as a courtesy to others. Posters like you are about to spoil it and force me to change my sig back to the way it was. Mango ------------------ Spring Cleaning!!! [This message has been edited by Mango (edited February 11, 2001).]
Since it would have been Francis' first all-star game, I don't think he would have been able to shut down, or match Allen Iverson. He would need experience playing in all-star games to duplicate a performance like Allen's. Also, he probably wouldn't have gotten very many minutes. He wouldn't have been playing when it counted. I know for sure that Francis-Iverson is going to be an amazing all-star matchup for years to come. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
Right, because it was Kobe's Team... ------------------ In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.
Mango: Say what? What was your sig? Yea, Kobe was trying to hog the ball and finish the game. But he did a lamers pass to Duncan when he knew he couldn't get the shot off. ------------------ Do not harm little children!
Steve would have done a helluva lot better than Finley, who just bricked fadeaway after fadeaway. The other team just left him open on purpose. ------------------ Hakeem, Hasaw, Haconquered.
