I’m just sick of losses like today’s game. I’m sick of inept coaching decisions like putting Moochie in for the 4th Q and having him loss the game for us. A lot of the time Rudy looks like he has no clue whatsoever about how to manage this team. The way the Rockets are playing, they won’t be consistent enough to make it to the playoffs in the tough West yet again. Now the players have a big responsibility in the success of the team as a whole, but overall, coaching and player management is VERY important as well to the success of a team. The game has past Rudy by. It’s time for him to go. I know the Rudy lovers on here are going to blast me, but I don’t care. It’s time for a change. This is the most talented Rockets team ever assembled, and they STILL might miss the playoffs this year. Something is wrong with that. Any other coach anywhere would take the heat for that. Maybe I’m just steaming after another pathetic lost but Rudy either needs to get a clue or he needs to get lost.
this is the 2nd youngest team in the league. give em a brake man it will be ok. give Rudy T. a brake also. it will get better. By the way Rudy is not going anywhere. If I had to guess he will be around until the end of Francis and Mings last playing days.
Another I am sick of Rudy thread... You know it can be argued that the Clips have more talent than the Rockets but that is beside the point... The rockets came out lethargic sucked terribly in the beginning of the game and then some how, after a halftime of Rudy coaching, the came back and started playing very good ball again... Rudy realized Griffin could not match up with Brand and that Rice was on fire and he needed to shoot and that Francis was playing well and needed to concentrate on scoring and not running the point and that Hawk was struggling so he elected to play Mooch in his place and it would have been a good move if Mooch hadn't continued playing dumb... but what were Rudy's other options, keep hawk who is struggling, put Tito in who has no NBA experience at all... He went with Mooch because even though Mooch has had a few bad games, Mooch has played somewhat effectively in the past and has even got a rep as a big time player in the clutch... Hell he scored a big time 3 that if we would have won would have been the game winner and he gets fouled and if he makes free throws we win the game and he is the hero... But mooch misses the free throws and doesn't get a shot off in 3 seconds and palms the ball on another play when he should have passed and helped lose the game for us... So I guess Rudy should have kept Hawk in there or should have brought in Tito an unknown commodity instead so now he sucks...

I'm in the same boat with you pooh. This team will be nothing but average. This team needs a coach who can teach these guys the fundamentals of basketball. There are a lot of things this team does wrong that are not corrected by the coaching staff. I just can't understand how a pt. guard that has been with coach going on 4 years and still can't run a text book fast break. This tells me that these guys are not being taught how to play the game of basketball the right way.

As it stands we are on course to win 48 games and that will probably get us into the play offs. At that pace we will loose a total of 34 games, seven of which we have already lost. So now I have a question, do we really have to have a new Rudy sucks thread another 27 times on our way to the play-offs?

I'm gettin sick of rudy. Dumbest decisions ever made in the season were today. Where was ming. He rested for about 10 minutes (gametime) and brought him in with 3 minutes left. Damn it, get f*ckin moochie out of the 4th quarter. Get a f*ckin grip on this team, rudy. I like bashing. It puts pressure on the team to do well. Look at philly. We cant be "positive" all the damn time and especially when that ghetto streetrat moochie is in the game. Trade him for another scrub who actually provide us with some help.
I don't know what to say about Houston. I heard someone said that Rudy should have brought in Tito? I think that would have been a bad move. Let's say Rudy brought in Tito and we lost the game the headline would be "why the hell did Rudy play this rookie". Come on we just lost the game. I think this is where we miss Cat. He loves to hit out big shot but who knows. BTW I feel that Rudy still is the right coach for this team it's about the team playing together. Who would have expect the Rockets to win after having 23 turnovers? That is just disgraceful and not to say 7 in the first quarter. I'm glad to see Rice getting involve alot because of all the talks about trading him. The Rockets just lost the game but if they expect to make playoffs this year games like that they need to win. But hopefully we can bounce back to beat Portland and I think this will be a whole different Portland team than who we defeated earlier. Come on Rockets get it together.
36, Agreed. No corrections. No instructions. No fundamentals. Why is Les paying Rudy $4M/Yr? Too be a drinking buddy or to win games? No playoffs with Rudy! Calvin Murphy will bring the fire! Plus he will teach the And1 All-Stars. (SF,CM&MN) He tries during the broadcast. If Dierker can come out of the booth, so can Murphy.
Yao is 22 years old. I'll be shocked if Rudy is still coaching in 2017. He'll retire before then. He's alluded to not coaching for much longer before.
